I think that fighting for your "honor" is actually a problem that exists nowadays:
- Someone looked at your girlfriend? You have to start a physical fight to protect her or your "honor"
- Someone laughed? He could have laughed about you! Better start a physical fight, to protect xour "honor"!
- Your sister fell in love with the wrong guy? Kill her to protect the "honor" of the family!
I know that those may be extreme examples. Bit in my opinion fighting for "honor" is a bad thing in most cases. Real honor should be connected with being a good and honest person. Not with fighting.
