Stories told don't always seem to be what they are. We often say that every villain is labeled as such by the person who considers themselves the hero. Every story has at least two sides, variables, things that are not linear and that need to be very well told so that we can reach a common denominator between the parties. It's funny that, no matter how much we say and try to correct these stories, it seems people insist on believing what they think is right. Without a critical perspective, the stories remain exactly as they're told.
For example, when I say I'm a programmer, people immediately think I'm filthy rich, that I earn a lot, but that's not quite true. After all, I've worked at a small company for 14 years and have never left my comfort zone. This even bothers me today. But no matter how much I say I don't earn much, people have a hard time believing it, and I understand them. After all, my job was supposed to make more money. But even if I speak and tell it like it is, they don't believe it because they tend to believe something one-sided, without considering that each case is different.
In our story itself, I can't quite tell which part of the story people think is completely right, and in my opinion, it's wrong. But I can say that everything that involves war and death has a bit of that. After all, people wage war and kill to protect what they value most. So, if you ask people from two different countries what the true and correct story is, both will defend their point of view, and so we will remain eternally at war with weapons and ideas.
UnsplashNo one wants to backtrack on a decision, no one wants to be seen as the wrong person in history, so if we were to list the points in our history where everyone thought something was right when it actually wasn't, I think we'd have a lot of conversations about it, involving wars, politics, soccer—all of this is so controversial. No one ever accepts being wrong. Unfortunately, that's how human beings are. I can never understand this difficulty in saying they're wrong, in calling for a conversation and solving a problem instead of just grabbing guns and shooting everyone. Why don't they just talk to solve this?
So that's it, every story has a bit of truth and a bit of falsehood, it depends on who's telling it. So never believe what you read or what you've been told. You need to research, try to find both or more sides that were part of this moment, and then, after understanding each side, try to decide which is the correct story, or at least the least wrong, from everything that happened there. That's why I like to say we have to question, investigate, and seek to understand all sides.
The story is always beautiful from the winning side, but does it really mean that when one side wins, it's the right one? I don't think so! So that's it, let's always listen carefully to the stories and research, trying to understand everything to reach the best conclusion!

Histórias contadas nem sempre parecem ser o que são. Costumamos dizer que todo vilão é rotulado assim pela pessoa que se considera o herói, toda história tem pelo menos 2 lados, variáveis, coisas que não são lineares e que precisam ser muito bem contadas para podermos chegar a um denominador comum entre as partes. Engraçado que, por mais que a gente diga e tente consertar essas histórias, parece que as pessoas gostam de teimar em acreditar no que elas acham que é certo, sem um ponto de vista crítico, as histórias seguem sendo exatamente da forma como são contadas.
Eu, por exemplo, quando falo que sou programador, as pessoas logo pensam que sou podre de rico, que ganho muito bem e não é bem assim, afinal, trabalho em uma empresa pequena há 14 anos, nunca saí da zona de conforto, isso até me faz mal hoje em dia, mas por mais que eu diga que não ganho muito, as pessoas custam a acreditar e eu entendo elas, afinal, o meu cargo era para ganhar mais dinheiro mesmo, mas mesmo que eu fale e conte como as coisas são, elas não acreditam, porque tendem a acreditar em uma coisa unilateral, sem considerar que cada caso é um caso.
Na nossa história em si, não sei dizer bem qual pedaço da história as pessoas pensam estar totalmente certas e, no meu ver, está errado. Mas, posso dizer que tudo o que envolve guerras e mortes tem um pouco disso, afinal, as pessoas fazem guerra e matam para proteger aquilo que para elas é o mais valioso, então, se você perguntar para as pessoas de 2 países diferentes, qual é a história verdadeira e correta, ambos vão defender o seu ponto de vista e assim vamos ficar eternamente em guerra armada e de ideias.
UnsplashNinguém quer retroceder numa decisão, ninguém quer sair como o errado da história, então se formos enumerar os pontos da nossa história em que todos acham que algo está certo e na verdade não está, acho que teríamos muita conversa para discutir isso, envolvendo guerras, políticas, futebol, tudo isso que é polêmico demais e que ninguém nunca aceita estar errado. Infelizmente, o ser humano é assim, nunca consigo entender essa dificuldade em falar que está errado, em chamar para conversar e resolver um problema no lugar de somente pegar armas e sair atirando em todo mundo. Por que não conversam para resolver isso?
Então é isso, toda história tem um pouco de verdade e mentira, isso depende de quem está contando, portanto nunca acredite sempre no que você leu ou o que lhe falaram, é preciso pesquisar, tentar encontrar ambos ou mais lados que fizeram parte deste momento e, com isso, após entender cada lado, tentar decidir qual seria a história correta ou pelo menos a menos errada, dentre tudo o que aconteceu ali. Por isso gosto de dizer que temos que questionar, investigar e procurar entender todos os lados.
A história sempre é bonita do lado que venceu, mas será mesmo que quando um lado vence, isso quer dizer que este é o correto? Acho que não! Então é isso, vamos sempre ouvir bem as histórias e pesquisar, procurar entender tudo para chegar na melhor conclusão!

Listing to the one side and making other side a culprit is not right. Everyone has their own version of story and yes you are right it's always half right and half false, and I will add a potion of it is misunderstanding also.

Good point, that's one way of looking at it. Misunderstandings are always complicated. In any story or relationship, if people don't understand what's going on or what we mean, misunderstandings will make everything worse.
