One of the most incredible points that Hive has, and which certainly attracts attention, is its proposal for freedom of expression, since decentralized operation is its trademark and as the network does not have a single owner, we cannot be banned or silenced just for expressing our ideas, however crazy and perhaps wrong they may be.
Of course, there are still some forms of intimidation, such as, for example, a profile with a lot of power that can reset your rewards or a group of people who can do the same. We may be considered ignored in some community or by some other author, but even so, we may still have the right to write about whatever subject we want, even if it doesn't reach anyone, but that's a story for another time.
Now, imagine that, in exchange for freedom of expression, we lost the right to privacy, like a scale or alchemy with its equivalent exchange, which would we choose? Well, I already gave my answer in the introduction to this post: I would choose freedom of expression, as I consider it one of the fundamental rights that we all have.

Expressing feelings through videos, social networks, blogs, writing or demonstrations is a right that must be inviolable, we all need it. As much as it often creates problems, people between people, such as tense and complicated moments, the right to speak belongs to everyone and must be respected.
Of course, we also have something that I call “the good debate”, the one where thinking heads defend their sides and their ideas, but with all the respect and class we can have, no matter how heated the debates of ideas are, we can always reach at some point in common with a lot of conversation, calm, patience and examples of what we are defending.
And the right to privacy? If we lose him in exchange for having our freedom of expression guaranteed? For me, it wouldn't be anything that complicated, I believe that those who shouldn't have no fear and my life has always been an open book, not that I don't have secrets, everyone has one secret or another, but, at least in what I think It's good for people to know, I've always been very open to expounding and also having an open mind to understand the most diverse things presented by me.

Privacy is a good thing, but sometimes too much privacy can be a bad thing, it can be something suspicious, as if people take advantage of this right to hide the worst thing they do, here in Brazil, corrupt politicians are too grateful for the privacy of kings that they have and precisely in my opinion, if everything they do and operate were transported to a blockchain network like Hive, where everything is practically open, our country would certainly be a better place.
So, taking Hive as an example again, here I don't care about the loss of privacy of all the operations I'm doing, every delegation, withdrawal, deposit, comment, reblog, nothing, I think that's the least of it when we have the power of freedom of expression guaranteed and also by having this transparent window of operations, people certainly think twice before doing anything bad or wrong, after all, it will be exposed and could be judged or receive downvotes, for example, for this.
For me, I believe that everything could be truly free, as I have nothing to hide under the covers of privacy, of course there are some situations in reality that could be lost: a moment alone with your great love, a day of fun with your children where everyone would look at you, that desire to be alone to think about life, all of this would also be lost, which would obviously be bad.

Even so, the right to freedom of expression for me is superior to all of this, because, for example, if they removed our right to privacy, but left our right to freedom of expression, we could at some point in history unite, join people who would not be satisfied with this system and so, we could fight to regain the right to privacy, if it were the opposite, we would not be able to do this, after all, without being able to express ourselves, how would we organize ourselves for this?
Therefore, I love this choice, being able to express ourselves freely and of course, with the more respect possible the better, freedom of expression does not mean that you are free to treat people badly, I think education is the basic thing for us to be able to talk, understand us and improve things!

Um dos pontos mais incríveis que a Hive possui e que com toda certeza chama atenção, é a sua proposta de liberdade de expressão, já que o funcionamento descentralizado é a sua marca registrada e como a rede não possui um único dono, não podemos ser banidos ou silenciados apenas por expressar as nossas ideias, por mais malucas e talvez erradas que ela sejam.
Claro que ainda existem algumas formas de intimidação, como, por exemplo, algum perfil com muito poder que pode zerar suas recompensas ou então um grupo de pessoas que pode fazer o mesmo. Podemos ser colocados como ignorados em alguma comunidade ou por algum outro autor, mas, mesmo assim, ainda poderemos ter o direito de escrever sobre o assunto que quiser, mesmo que não alcance ninguém, mas, isso é uma história para outro momento.
Agora, imaginemos que, em contrapartida, a liberdade de expressão, perdêssemos o direito a privacidade, como uma balança ou uma alquimia com sua troca equivalente, qual iriamos escolher? Bem, eu já dei a minha resposta na introdução dessa postagem: escolheria a liberdade de expressão, pois considero como um dos direitos fundamentais que todos nós temos.

Expressar os sentimentos por meio de vídeos, redes socais, blogs, escritas ou manifestações, é um direito que têm que ser inviolável, todos precisamos dele. Por mais que muitas vezes gere problemas, pessoas entre as pessoas, como momentos tensos e complicados, o direito de falar é de todos e deve ser respeitado.
Claro que também temos algo que chamo de “o bom debate”, aquele onde as cabeças pensantes defendem seus lados e suas ideias, mas com todo o respeito e classe que podemos ter, por mais acalorado que sejam os debates de ideias, podemos sempre chegar em algum ponto em comum com muita conversa, calma, paciência e exemplos do que estarmos defendendo.
E o direito da privacidade? Se perdermos ele em troca de ter a nossa liberdade de expressão garantidos? Para mim, não seria nada tão complicado assim, acredito que quem não deve não teme e a minha vida sempre foi um livro aberto, não que eu não tenha segredos, todo mundo tem um segredo ou outro, mas, pelo menos naquilo que acho que é bom as pessoas saberem, sempre fui bem aberto a expor e assim como ter uma mente aberta para entender as mais diversas coisas apresentadas por mim.

Privacidade é algo bom, mas às vezes privacidade demais pode ser algo ruim, pode ser algo suspeito, como se as pessoas aproveitassem desse direito para justamente esconder o que de pior elas fazem, aqui no Brasil, os políticos corruptos agradecem demais a privacidade de reis que eles têm e justamente na minha opinião, se tudo que eles fazem e operam fosse transportado para uma rede blockchain como a Hive, onde tudo é praticamente aberto, com certeza nosso país seria um lugar melhor.
Então, tomando como exemplo novamente a Hive, aqui não me importo com a perca de privacidade de todas as operações que estou fazendo, cada delegação, saque, deposito, comentário, reblog, nada, acho que isso é o de menos quando temos o poder da liberdade de expressão garantidos e também por ter essa janela transparente de operações, com certeza as pessoas pensam duas vezes antes de fazer qualquer coisa ruim ou errada, afinal, ela estará exposta e poderá ser julgada ou receber downvotes, por exemplo, por isso.
Por mim, acredito que tudo poderia ser um verdadeiro livre aberto, pois não tenho nada a esconder por baixo dos panos da privacidade, claro que existem algumas situações na realidade que poderiam ser perdidas: um momento a só com seu grande amor, um dia de diversão com seus filhos aonde todos iriam te olhar, aquela vontade de ficar sozinho para pensar na vida, tudo isso também seria perdido, o que seria ruim obviamente.

Mesmo assim, o direito a liberdade de expressão para mim é superior a tudo isso, porque, por exemplo, se retirassem o nosso direito a privacidade, mas deixassem o nosso direito de liberdade de expressão, poderíamos em algum ponto da história nos unir, juntar as pessoas que não estariam satisfeitas com esse sistema e assim, poderíamos lutar para reaver o direito da privacidade, se fosse o oposto, não teríamos como fazer isso, afinal, sem poder nos expressar, como nos organizaríamos para isso?
Por isso, amo essa escolha, a de poder nos expressar livremente e claro que, com quanto mais respeito possível melhor, liberdade de expressão não quer dizer que você esteja livre para tratar mal as pessoas, acho que educação é o básico para conseguirmos conversar, nos entender e melhorar as coisas!

Eu também escolho a liberdade de expressão. Acredito que esse é um dos maiores bens que possuímos e perde-la seria terrível!
Acho que sem ela não poderíamos correr atras de nada, sem expressar ou desejar coisas melhores, se os governantes nem quisesses nos escutar ou quebrassem esse direito nosso, so ficaríamos assistindo a tudo. Ainda bem que não chegamos neste ponto ainda.
That's the wisest part of all the conversation. Freedom of expression is the one thing that may open up ways to all the other freedoms.
Losing privacy has also its consequences though. You cannot enjoy life the way you want. Even if there is no secret to keep, we don't want our lives to be discussed here and there. But again, with freedom of expression you can tell people to not poke their nose into your matter.
With freedom of expression comes a great responsibility. We need to lear tolerance too. Without respecting other's views and be respecful in our speech, freedom of expression is a disaster
I completely agree with this, an example is social networks, they often help a lot, but they also cause chaos because people don't know how to respect the moments and ideas of other people who think differently than us, it's really complicated.
I also believe that hive is a great opportunity for the future, so that everyone can learn to use their freedom of expression more responsibly and wisely!

Social network is a vivid example for irresponsible use of freedom of expression. It is a weapon if in the hands of notorious people they can make this world a hell.
One of the casualties that could happen was losing the Hive platform and for me that was more than enough of the reason why I would not give up freedom of expression over right to privacy.
Exactly, here we already have a good taste of what it means to have your right to expression taken seriously, where we can comment and write whatever we want, of course with the appropriate education and a lot of respect depending on the subject, after all, whether it's web2 or 3, respect it is always welcome!

When I first saw this topic on Hive Learner's Discord Channel, I thought of these two Rights and it was really hard to make a choice because I know what happens when free speech is thrown out of the window. I also know how messed up things can be when there is invasion of privacy.
However, the moment I started writing, it became really obvious that if a choice must be made, I will gladly let go of my right to privacy because I rate freedom of speech very highly and I see it as a fundamental human right.

It was a very complex subject, it's something that could give a good discussion to a group of friends, as they are 2 fundamental rights for us human beings, but how can we choose between one or the other? It's really complicated, but if it were truly true that we had to make the choice, I would stick with freedom of expression, our right to be able to speak and express our ideas! I think it's a complicated thing to choose only one between the two. It mostly depends on personality and perspective of a human. You said you are a open book then will you inform me about the master key of Hive which included in privacy? If you are serious then let me know 🤣.
I think debate will come naturally. Besides freedom of speech also has many logical thing which I can't avoid. In a word both are needed.
lol, thinking about it this way, the hive is open with several things, but the keys are something that you better keep hidden! If someone discovers the damage it could be huge if used to do the wrong thing. The choice is really difficult, I'm glad we still have both at our disposal haha. 😂🤣
