Social networks are here to stay, we can say this with the constant evolution of their use over many years, and truth be told, this is something that is already consolidated. Could social networks cease to exist? The same happened with Orkut, for example, or Google+, networks that weren't banned, but were deactivated for their own reasons. So, why say that these networks weren't banned? This doesn't happen in my country yet, but I know that in other countries, some social networks or social media platforms are banned by their governments, which prevents people from using them.
But what if I could ban a social network forever? Which one would it be? Why would I do that? Well, if in this hypothetical scenario I could actually do that, I think I would ban Instagram from our lives, and the reason is much simpler than it seems: my concept of social media. In my view, a social network needs to be something more like Orkut and Facebook once were, with a greater focus on community, where people can truly help each other, ask questions, share their feelings, and express themselves better.
These community-focused social networks, for me, are the best example of how a good social media should work. Not that they were perfect, but it seems there was a much greater focus on community, on unity, on helping each other. I remember Orkut communities, where a central theme united people, and Facebook groups that still stick to one topic. This seemed to make online communication truly meaningful. I believe that, after Instagram, people became very individualistic and selfish, thinking only about provocation, about sharing more of themselves, without any kind of benefit for the community.

After all, we collaborate in communities, on a topic, and have people help others with their HP or answer questions, etc. Here, I don't feel the intense individualism I see on Instagram, where people only want to share the good, the illusory side, where only the beauty of the flesh seems to matter, while your feelings, what you share to add to your community, are useless. I've always advocated that we should show more of our minds and less of our bodies. What do your ideas say about you?
For this reason, if I could ban any social network, it would definitely be Instagram. For these reasons, I think people have become more superficial because of it. Everyone wants to go viral, so they post anything, whether appealing or pointless, in search of likes. I think that's not right. Social networks should be focused on people, on community, on getting people to interact and improve as individuals, not just killing themselves for likes and the like. The strength of a social network is its community!
So, if we could go back to the early days of social media, I think everyone would better understand what I'm saying: the essence of a social media platform that could help people connect better, without so much hate or hurtful comments. Perhaps social networks focused on the power of community, with people helping each other grow and evolve, could help people improve their way of being. Even here at Hive, as a unique social network, I realize that people understand community better than many others, so this would be something to copy and implement in Web2 networks.

As redes sociais chegaram para ficar, podemos afirmar isso com a constante evolução do seu uso há muitos anos e, para dizer a verdade, isso é algo que já está consolidado. Redes sociais poderiam deixar de existir? Igual aconteceu com o Orkut, por exemplo, ou Google+, redes que não foram banidas, mas foram desativadas por seus motivos próprios. Então, por que falar dessa forma, que estas redes não foram banidas? Até porque no meu país não acontece isso ainda, mas sei que em outros países alguma rede social ou comunicadores são banidos por seus governos, o que faz com que as pessoas não possam usá-las.
Mas e se eu conseguisse banir uma rede social para sempre? Qual seria? Por que faria isso? Bem, se nesse cenário hipotético pudesse realmente fazer isso, acho que eu excluiria o Instagram das nossas vidas e o motivo é bem mais simples do que parece: meu conceito de mídia social. Na minha visão, uma rede social precisa ser algo mais parecido com o que o Orkut e o Facebook já foram, com um foco maior em comunidade, onde as pessoas realmente consigam se ajudar, tirar dúvidas, compartilhar seus sentimentos, se expressar melhor.
Essas redes sociais com foco em comunidade, para mim, são o melhor exemplo de como uma mídia social bacana deve funcionar. Não que elas fossem perfeitas, mas parece que havia um foco muito maior nisso, em comunidade, em união, em se ajudar. Lembro das comunidades do Orkut, onde um tema central unia as pessoas, os grupos de Facebook que ainda seguem firmes com um assunto, isso parecia fazer a comunicação online fazer realmente sentido. Acredito que, depois do Instagram, as pessoas se tornaram muito individualistas, egoístas, pensando somente em provocar, em compartilhar mais de si mesmas e sem nenhum tipo de ganho para a comunidade.
UnsplashA Hive por exemplo, é uma rede social sensacional, afinal, coamos em comunidades, em um assunto, em fazer uma pessoa auxiliar as demais com o seu HP ou tirando dúvidas e coisas do tipo. Por aqui, não sinto esse individualismo tão grande que vejo no Instagram, onde as pessoas só querem compartilhar o lado bom, o ilusório, onde somente a beleza da carne parece que conta, enquanto que o seu sentimento, o que você compartilha para somar com a sua comunidade, não serve de nada. Sempre defendi o fato de que devemos mostrar mais a cabeça e menos o corpo, o que as suas ideias falam de você?
Por esse motivo, se pudesse banir alguma rede social, com certeza seria o Instagram. Por estes motivos, acho que as pessoas se tornaram mais superficiais por conta dele, todo mundo quer viralizar, com isso, postam qualquer coisa, apelativa ou sem noção, em busca de likes, acho que isso não é o correto. Redes sociais têm que ser focadas nas pessoas, em comunidade, em fazer com que as pessoas interajam e melhorem como pessoas e não somente se matem para conseguir likes e coisas do tipo. A força de uma rede social é a sua comunidade!
Sendo assim, se pudéssemos voltar no tempo das primeiras redes sociais, acho que todos entenderiam melhor o que estou dizendo, a essência de uma mídia social que poderia fazer as pessoas se conectarem melhor, sem ter tanto ódio destilado por aí ou comentários que nos machucam, talvez redes sociais focadas no poder de uma comunidade, com as pessoas se ajudando a crescer e evoluir, pudessem fazer com que elas melhorassem em seu jeito de ser. Aqui mesmo na Hive, sendo uma rede social diferenciada, percebo que as pessoas entendem melhor do que muitas outras sobre coletividade, então isso seria algo para copiar e implementar nas redes da web2.
