both, but I feel it more often when I want to comment on other author's posts.
Just know your comments do not have to be long and has to have exactly what you think about the post. To do this you have to understand the thesis of the post if not, you would lose what you have in mind to comment.
I prefer not commenting at all on posts I do not understand. I let it be.
