“TRADITIONL BELIEFS” of Indonesia

Every country or tribe in this world must have their own beliefs about something, and even sometimes this form of belief looks ridiculous to people outside their territory, but ironically there are still people who believe in it.

Beliefs have been around since ancient times, although there are some of them that are positive but most of the beliefs that exist today are some kind of "illusion" and none of them have been proven scientifically correct, if you approach such a community and you try to tell them it's possible spontaneously you will get rejected because you are someone different, roughly language you will be considered as someone who has been "perverted" because you do not believe in what they believe.

Indonesia is one of the countries that has the most ethnicities and languages in the world, therefore it is not surprising if you go to Indonesia and you will find several religious practices in the interior, such as shamanism, divination, magic practices and etc.

recently there was news that shocked the world, if you watched the mandalika motogp circuit some time ago maybe you will be surprised to see the "practice of belief" that doesn't make sense, maybe you will laugh or vice versa you will believe in what someone is doing middle-aged woman on the Mandalika circuit.

"Rara" is the name of the woman, she works as a rain controller or in Indonesian referred to as "pawang hujan" she shows her actions in the middle of the heavy rain on the Mandalika circuit, she says she is able to control the rain which means she transfers rain from one place to another. other places, for example the rain that occurred in Mandalika he moved to another city or to the middle of the ocean so that the Mandalika circuit returned to being conducive and the circuit could be run again.

At first glance you might believe that "Rara"'s actions are true, especially if our minds rely on the word "Nothing Impossible", but the fact is that so far no one from the university has been able to prove this action. a belief that cannot be accepted by the common sense of anyone in this world.

maybe you will ask why something like this happens in Indonesia?

as I have said above, Indonesia is a country with the most ethnic groups in the world, almost in every tribe there must have one belief that is different from other tribes, but in general they will experience similarities in the context of "Shaman magic" , Black magic has existed in Indonesia since tens of centuries ago, and the practice of black magic is still being carried on to the current generation.

so the action of "Rara" on the Mandalika circuit is part of a traditional belief that has existed in Indonesia for centuries, and Rara is not the only person who claims to be a rain controller, you can see in the following screenshot;

Even though we see Rara's actions as a traditional belief that must be abolished from the archipelago, ironically "Rara" actually gets thousands of dollars from her belief, we are not saying that traditional beliefs are wrong, but these beliefs are no longer needed in the reform era technology like today which means every traditional belief must be abolished.

there are many other traditional beliefs that have existed in Indonesia since centuries ago, I hope there is still a chance to write a post or two related to it. this time I'm writing about the strange beliefs that Indonesia displays to the international world through "Rara" and we are not interested in learning and following such traditional beliefs, they are only a small part of the actual number of traditional beliefs, there are so many beliefs out there and I will write to you if there is still a chance.

Note: I apologize to all Indonesian people if my post looks like "SARA" but actually I just want to say that traditional beliefs should be abolished by all parties in Indonesia.

thank you very much for everyone who has visited my blog, see you in the next post.

interesting post, but the belief in the rain handler is the main attraction, especially in moto GP events around the world. all the cameras are on the handler who is showing off his action. In my opinion, this is also a form of marketing technique and introduces the traditional beliefs of the Indonesian people about the rain handler to the outside world. Very interesting post and I really like it.
