I often comes across various news about scammers hiding their real identity and cheated on others. The digital age in which we are living is quite risky. Trusting someone without knowing them in real could go wrong in life. Individuals can "hide" behind a keyboard, leveraging their anonymity. By leveraging online anonymity, scammers can reach a vast pool of potential victims with minimal effort while maintaining a significant advantage over victims and law enforcement alike.

We can have many such examples and can easily find some on hive too. There could be instances that a single user is operating on multiple account. Their could be chances that they are operating from one account and could provide benefit to others. I learned about many such activities on #hive blockchain. We are not sure how many of such user does exist on this platform. Likewise similar misuse could be possible at other online platform. We also have heard of many online fraud and scamming news. Everything was done by being anonymous. My friend was fooled once by a person by pretending to be a Girl. They used to do regular chats over various online platform. And when they decided to meet one day they figure out the true facts as how his own school friend was making fool of him. This is same scene where somebody may loot us by pretending to be in need. Scammers often pretend to be professionals working abroad (e.g., oil rig engineers, military personnel, doctors) to explain why they cannot meet in person. Then they claim to need money urgently for a crisis, such as a medical emergency, a legal fee, a child’s surgery, or a travel expense to come visit the victim. This is where they succeed in their real intent of fooling and scamming an individuals.
There are many possibilities, to be online and digitally anonymous, but achieving total anonymity requires significant effort, technical tools, and strict behavioral discipline. While complete invisibility is nearly impossible against dedicated adversaries, users can achieve high levels of anonymity by masking IP addresses, using encrypted, non-tracking services, and separating personal identities from online activities. Achieving online anonymity requires a layered approach to hide your identity, location, and digital footprint. While absolute anonymity is nearly impossible to guarantee, you can make it extremely difficult for your online activity to be traced back to your real-world identity.
