A tale of unjust

She was excited as her intermediate study was about to be over and she had come much closer to the ambition she always dreamt of. Farzana was a studious girl and talented girl throughout her educational career. She had achieved many educational milestones throughout her journey and excelled in every field that was related to education. She was a good debater, she was a good writer, she was a critical thinker and she was a jolly fellow as well.

When the girls of her age used to play with dolls, she always insisted to but for her medical toys. She had accumulated tens of stethoscope toys and she used to check her patients(her siblings) daily now as time passed that little girl was just one step before to started her MBBS studies. Since the start of 12 standards, she was very excited. She started looking for the best medical colleges and selected some prestigious ones.

One day when after giving one of her final papers, she returned home, and some engagement talks were going on. She was already happy as she did her paper brilliantly and now the talks of a festive were enchanting for her. She changed her clothes and sat with her mother after getting fresh.

“Mama, I rocked in today’s paper….All the girls were complaining that it was hard but I did that very easily” she said to her mother.

“Yeah how I know my daughter is talented” her mom replies

“So, whose engagements talks are going on…mama buy me an offwhite frock this time, please …..You have been denying me that for long but now as there is an engagement function..buy me that and tell me now who is going to be engaged?” She asked her mother after glibly passing some words.

Her mother looked towards her dad and then after taking Farzana’s hand in her hands said “Look daughter what I am saying to you may be arduous for you initially then you will get accustomed”.

“Mama what are you talking about, say it clearly” She smilingly said to her mother.

“We have fixed your marriage, it is you whose engagement talks are roaming. Maybe just after your exams, we will arrange your engagement ceremony” her mother said

This was like a 300-volt shock for Farzana. She couldn’t believe what her mother said. For a moment her heart stopped working due to shock.

“What … you are kidding? Right?” She asked with mixed feelings of crying.

Her mother nagated and said go and prepare for your next exam and it is not what you should worry about. We are your parents and we will do what is good for you.

“With whom I am going to marry? “ she stopped sobbing and asked while removing her tears.

“Your aunt has managed a man for you. He is 30 years old mature businessman. You will be happy with him daughter. “ her mother gracelessly said to her.

She left him and confined herself in her room.
While sitting on the floor near her bed, she was sobbing. Her dream has shattered. All the hard work of years has gone in vain. The excitement which she was experiencing throughout this year has been diminished in seconds by her parents. She was wondering how her parents could do unjust to her. She had no objection that they wanted to marry her to a much older guy, she just didn’t want to marry at this stage of life. She was ambitious girl and had many dreams to be fulfilled but the time and her parents proved very unjust to her.

She was looking at her books with anger and was wanting to incinerate them along with her. At that moment a jolly girl turned into a pessimist one. But she loved her parents very much. She didn't want to bring any flame to their honor and dignity. Although she will have to kill her inner soul soon she has no other option. She didn't want anyone else to pity her.

This is my entry for #hl-exclusive and #hl-108e1.

You have shared a nice fiction with us friend. Sometimes injustice and unfairness comes to us from the people we trust the most, sometimes even from our parents, as you have shared with us. This is life and we just have to face it heads up

I so much despise arrangements of spouse, how will you bring someone I don't know for me to marry that's very bad, just like that the innocent girls dream was shattered to pieces
