How to get starting HIVE?

I am interested in investing on HIVE eventually, and be able to play the games and use the platforms and such

The head scratching thing is:
posts get curated by votes (mana) which is then used to distribute new HIVE tokens, right?

From where these come from? From the block generation? And the post value the dApps show, when does it come to my wallet? Will it go to my wallet at all or am I misunderstanding something?

Anyhow, these are my doubts right now, so far I am enjoying this project

    Just now I saw the "reward gonna be distributed in X days" tooltip

    this clears up some questions
