University, A Place To Learn And Unlearn.

I never choose to study in the university I attended , I hated my choice of university, because it was influenced by my parents, I really wanted to study in the south, colleges like university of port Harcourt or Rivers State University , but I'm forever grateful I agree to school in the east, I attended Abia State University , and I met alot of amazing, caring, intelligent and resourceful people there .
They made so much impact in my life , guided me through school when I knew nothing about the environment, especially when I was naive and clueless.

If I had went to a different university I'm sure I would have been lost, because my only reason for insisting to stay in the south was friends from secondary school.
I went to the university really naive, I was just a fresh secondary school graduate, who could be lured into any lifestyle or habit, God led me to a group of people, a family that was ready to watch me grow, monitored me daily and made sure I understood the purpose why I was sent to school.
Don't get me wrong, I knew why I was sent to school, but then we all know how university lifestyle can influence even the most innocent, if I had met the wrong peers and was influenced negatively, my life would have been a mess, because I had a lot of thought and wanted to experience the joy of being far from parents and living my best life without being monitored, but my peers from church guided me through.

If I had gone to a different university, I don't think I would have met the amazing people Abia State University gave to me , also I had course mates that were good, we also had the bad ones, but my group of friends, were supportive, innovative, intelligent minds and business smart.
It was through a friend,I met during a night class, that introduced me to footwear and perfume business as a student and that business paid most of my bills, enabled me to save and met other bright minds .
If I had gone to a different university, I don't think I would have been opportuned to meet the people I met back in school, the people who encourages me to study even when I was sick .
I can boldly say, I had the best people and God has always kept me in the midst of people that have good and genuine thoughts towards me.

I also had my bad experiences, it wasn't just bed of roses, because I met people with different opinions, different characters, especially in the hostel and people with what we tag, spiritual problems, because of how odd they behave.

One of the negative attitudes I saw played out in school was lack of contentment, it caused more harm than good, we can all agree that there is pressure in university/colleges, that leads to lack of contentment , and lack of contentment causes alot of issues among young people in our society.
This is why I learnt to raise kids to stay contented, because lack of contentment can cause a lot of issues and pressure among young people.

Lastly, if I had gone to a different university, maybe I wouldn't be where I'm now, because I would have met different persons and made connections with different people too.

Thanks for reading ♥️

That is the funny thing about life, we can only speak of things we have experience but situations that we haven't, it is kind of hard to imagine ourselves in that situation. To you going to Abia State might have been the best thing that happened to you but I believe you would have also turn out good in another university as long as you have the determination to succeed.
