What do you think are some of the drawbacks of focusing too much on the result?

Result is what people want to see; if you don't have a result, you go explain and explain tire. So people don't care about the process at all; they want results. If you don't have results, your process is invalid, your struggle and whatever you're doing don't matter. That's how the world we live in now reacts to things.

Yeah, this is what society is about, but the thing is, people embark on a goal to show off. When looking for something, it is better to embark on the journey for yourself and not because you need it to show off to others. If not, it would need to frustration and eventually quitting.
