Can Banning One Social Media Platform Be The Solution of safety ?

Hello beautiful people of Hive 👋
I hope everyone is doing great today. It’s always a pleasure to have you here.

Imagine waking up one day and realizing that one of the world’s biggest social media platforms has been permanently banned. The reactions across the globe would be mixed, some cheering and celebrating, while others would panic and feel lost.
If I had the power to ban one social media platform for life, it would be TikTok, for some reason.

When TikTok was first launched, it seemed to be all about fun, short videos, dance trends, and endless entertainment. Many saw it as one of the best platforms ever created because it allowed users to showcase their lifestyle and creativity through short videos.
But over time, the platform started changing gradually in affecting most users especially to young teenagers.

Most people have become addicted to spending hours scrolling through TikTok, watching both positive and negative content. This constant engagement affects users mentally and emotionally, reducing productivity and focus in real life.
The world might actually be a better place without it, a world where people spend more time on real experiences, learning, and authentic creativity rather than chasing likes, views, and trends.

Another major concern is privacy. TikTok collects a large amount of personal data, and many users don’t even realize how much information they’re giving away just for the sake of entertainment. It’s scary to think how easily such data can be misused.
However, one big question remains. would banning one social media platform truly solve the problem?
If TikTok were permanently banned, users would likely switch to another platform, or a new one would emerge to replace it. The real issue is not just the platform itself, but how people use it.

That’s why every user needs to learn to use social platforms wisely and responsibly, to avoid addiction, protect privacy, and focus more on positive engagement rather than endless scrolling.
