Sometimes, I imagine, in another world or life where there was no content monetization, would it make a difference?
Believe me or not, some people would know what my answer to that question would be, which is that humans are our own problem; we find a way to generate problems for ourselves one way or the other. Some people tell me these kinds of answers I always give to questions like this about humanity show that I am losing faith in humanity, and I would laugh.
But that's the truth about the matter, I know right now monetization is the fuel added by humans to content making to make the fire burn hotter, but still within me, I have this feeling that without monetization, there is still at least one other way we could make things go wrong with content making.
It might not be as bad as now, it might not be the same, it might be worse but I just know that something is going to go wrong one day for one reason or another.
We all know right now money is at the top of the list of things that make people do crazy things, and we know too that there are other things like fame and some others too.
In my opinion, content monetization isn't bad in any way; it is quite a good source of revenue and is supposed to push people to get even more creative, in a good way, of course. Many people capitalize on content making and are successful in what they have put their mind to. So this means even though there are just two out of a hundred that have managed to make good use of monetization of content in a good way that means the problem isn't from the content making but from the remaining ninety-eight people who have resorted to extreme measures and demoralizing means to make a profit off monetization of content.
I have seen good content creators who aren't lazy and have put in hard work, commitment, and determination into earning from content making by good means.
So those who are too lazy to be artistic or create unique content made with thought and creativity, are just lazy bones and can't blame monetization of content for anything.
Besides I have seen people who pursue actual work that you wouldn't believe they put equally great effort into content making. My course rep is a good example and he doesn't have two heads, so once again the lazy bones are just lazy bones who can't blame anyone or anything for being lazy :)
Another thing that's really pissing me off is the contents that when I see them, I just sigh and can't even bother to ask if it is worth the money.
These days, slowly, people are accepting that content is content, no matter how stupid, irresponsible, irrelevant, dehumanizing, or immoral the content is, just to get paid. And it is indeed saddening.
They act like they don't know what digital footprint means or like it doesn't exist.
Sometimes it seems they don't understand that not everything posted on the Internet is forever lost.
