I like the part you said, those who are humble and eager to learn even topics that they already know are the ones that get ahead in life. No truer words have been said.
As humans, we have the desire to want to feel important and so in cases where one can actually learn a lot, they might decide to show off the little knowledge that they know. And that disrupts the learning process.
