The good summer vibes that I had told you that would come to me before the end of July did, two beautiful girls, ages 5 and 2 respectively. My nieces, my younger sister's daughters on my father's side, were born in another country. The pandemic prevented them from traveling to this island before. The trip now could not be postponed, there were compelling reasons to make it and I could finally meet my two "guajas" (as I affectionately call them).
They arrived on the 17th, a date that was already complicated with my summer course, but fortunately it did not interfere in the time I could dedicate to them.
They were 6 people, my sister, her husband, her mom, her stepfather and the girls and they stayed at my house. Imagine a 50 M2 apartment with 9 people? Including 2 girls and a bunch of suitcases? It was crazy 🤪!!!! What a mess 🥴!!!
Certain activities involved big challenges. Sleeping 9 people in an apartment that only has 2 rooms with 1 bed in each involved creativity...luckily the sofa in the living room saved the situation and a small mat on the floor also did its part 😜, it was like camping in a bad place 🤣. And what to tell you when it was time to get up in the morning, with only one bathroom at home, the line to get in was long...you had to take a turn the night before 😂🤣.
Despite the mess, the inconveniences and all the challenges that came along, it was a good week. There was no shortage of laughter and even a few tears. My nieces are beautiful. It's amazing how different they are, each with their own distinct character despite their young age. The older one is very sweet, affectionate and calm. The little one is explosive, a bit moody but very witty and perceptive.
They may not return soon, it was something we talked about but it was not defined. Nevertheless I am grateful for the opportunity to have enjoyed them at least for a week and also to have seen my sister after 8 years...time is relentless.
I didn't want them to leave without taking at least one souvenir from this trip, something made with my own hands. I made them some stuffed bunnies, both the same so there would be no conflict 😉. In these days I will share with you the step by step of this creation.
Summer with its good vibes. We'll see what August has in store for us 😉😎!!! I just hope it will be nice things for everyone.
My apartment is also 50 square meters and I am unable to imagine it with 9 people inside. Sometimes two are a crowd, hahaha. I bet the ones who most enjoyed that improvised camp were your nieces, hehe. They are discomforts that are overcome with large doses of love and patience. I'm so glad you enjoyed the family together, I hope the next occasion won't take so long, especially since the little ones grow up so fast and they wouldn't be little girls anymore. I can't wait to see that step by step elaboration of their souvenir bunnies!

There is a saying in Slavic languages: "Gde čeljad nisu besna, kuća nije tesna" which means something like where people are not angry, no house is small.
I see your experience confirms this, as just good vibes could come from this encounter. Just a week... so short time but maybe you can visit them for the next encounter. Fingers crossed 🤞
Nine people in 50m2 seems quite complicated, but when there is love and good vibes, anything is possible. Plus, seeing your sister after eight years... what joy! Your nieces are beautiful. I am so happy that you were able to enjoy them, and of course, I will wait for the step-by-step progress of your creation!🤗
Pronto, pronto traeré a mis conejitos. Un abrazo 🤗
So be it, and enjoy yourself! 🤗💗😃💞
Saludos y lindo finde.
