RE: Taming Wild Flowers

This is explosive color!!!!

I love it when a garden is allowed to do its thing. It is absolutely splendid-looking with everything overlapping the other! I truly love it. You step back and take a gander!

Those day-lilies, my father always called them ditch lilies because that is where we found them on the side of the road. In the ditches. LOL I have tons of them and keep splitting them! Need more? LOL

Thank you for showing off your beauty! It was a real treat for me! Thank you for being a part of #alwaysaflower!

Yes, it's explosive in so many ways:D
I'm so glad you enjoy its craziness. What it lacks in formality it makes up for with enthusiasm:)

Ditch lilies...hmmm...sounds like your Dad called it like it was but maybe lacked your poetic style.

But you want a trick for dealing with them? I cut the bottom out of a big pot or growing container and dig it into the ground and then fill it with dirt. When I plant the lilies in the buried pot, they get all the benefits of being planted directly in the ground, but aren't able to spread. How's that for a good trick?
I do owe you a trick;)

Thanks again for your support and for creating a community where I get to share my gardens with other flower heads. (That's what my husband calls me when maybe I share too much with him.)

Oh, I really like that trick! I have done that with other flowers, I do not know why I didn't think of it for bulbs!!! It really is pretty smart! Oh, second hand, I am not right. I put the whole pot. I don't cut out the bottom (they are usually a plant that I need to bring in the house for the winter)

I am going to try your method and see how it works for me! Thank you again. And yes!!! I love your garden! It is truly beautiful and is a happy place to stroll.

Have a great day!
