Hello Hivers,
Here is a drawing I made for the second prompt of the cozy critter autumn series it is about the pumpkin patch companion. I thought about critters at first even a scarecrow to be the companion but I can't make it right. Nothing seems to look right and it was challenging to be honest. I set that aside and focused on the pumpkins and gave it a rest.
When I get back to working again the background color selection which is yellow then pink looks off. Tried different shades but light background is not it. Maybe darker like navy and so it somehow worked. The orange pumpkins changed in color as I put some layers to achieve that night time atmosphere and everything has to follow.
Finally the companion, now that this looks dark I don't think adding a critter would be noticeable so the quick solution is add something to the dark atmosphere and that is a moon. Distant and small but it serves a purpose that is to become the pumpkin patch companion. It provides light in the dark it adds glow to the pumpkins making them look good and visible

I quite like your idea. And really, at night the moon can make one feel much less alone.
ah so this is the one you are not truly sure yet hmmm comparing it with the one that has pumpkin orange well I must say this one is also good because it is night time the light and the moon were given time to shine
