I am so excited with this new art I made. Another day, another abstract shape done. The shape I had to work with this time was a gorgeous, swirling aquamarine blob. It had such a beautiful, gentle curve to it that I immediately thought of an elegant figure in a classic pose.
I used the main body of the shape to outline the lady's upper body. I kept the beautiful teal color for her blouse—it just had to be that color. Then I added the high waisted skirt similar to her skin tone, the dark hair and its old style, and those little details like the pearl necklace and the graceful hands holding the coat, all done in my usual graphic and stylized way. That nice, warm brown color is not a backdrop alright? that is the coat it really makes the teal pop
This piece I kept simple, the color block style created something that feels very timeless and fashionable. This week I focused on finding the human form hidden inside the abstract shapes if possible. I think she looks amazing like waiting for a party. What do you think of my drawing today?
