Amazon's secret is surprisingly simple: making the online purchasing process so easy that customers don't have to think twice. With just the push of a button to buy a product, any book, CD, video game, appliance, or item you want is only one click away. Much of Amazon's success is credited to its founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, whose unique combination of vision, leadership, and business strategy has led Amazon to become the largest and best online store on the planet.
This book analyzes Bezos's strategy, describes his working methods, and delves into his particular way of understanding the consumer relationship. It also deciphers the keys that made Amazon what it is today and explains how continuous innovation has kept it at the forefront of online commerce. Above all, it answers the question everyone asks: why, after shopping at Amazon for the first time, are you likely to stop shopping anywhere else?

I've certainly bought my fair share of stuff from Amazon over the years and am a long time subscriber to Amazon Prime but I don't think I've once used the one-click buy option.
I think people assume Amazon always has the best deal and while they often do, it isn't always the case. It always pays to comparison shop.
I think a lot more people will just impulse buy more than what they want to admit. The whole Alexa strategy was based on this version of 1-Click purchase. Specially when you just need to restock the same things, and the product is already on the budget, you will rarely try something else. Remember Amazon is not always the provider, many stores live inside Amazon and they are the providers, but the Amazon model extends beyond their warehouses and they compete inside the amazon site. Sort of like an Uber Eats model where many restaurants compete on their food category.
However as this is mostly a Marketing group, I wanted to compare it to how much these strategies fit into the Hive ecosystem of apps. As we already are in on this platform, maybe we can get better value than other platforms that we need to commit.
