I watched The Computer Programme back then as I was an early adopter. I don't remember Database though.
Later there was Gamesmaster, but that was just competitive gaming. Tomorrow's World was good for technology and science news.
In the 80s I had my BBC Micro (Acorn 6502 machine) and used to go to a computer club where you would see the various computers. They were all incompatible with each other. Much later I had an Amiga 500 and then a 1200.
@makerhacks loves retro computing stuff.
Cool stuff, I was a kid when I got my hands on the commodore 64. Not much tech people in my city unfortunately. Didn't pick up until the mid 90s when the internet cafe were everywhere.
However I did manage to go to industrial computer shows where I saw the SGI Indigo and Oryx. I only saw one guy with a Mac and another with an Amiga. But back then I only was able to get an OS-less. IBM PS/2. Still had MS Works, Chess Master and an F-22 flight simulator.
