At the end of 2022, I set my targets for 2023 and the more the year progresses, the further back I fall behind them. One reason is certainly the decrease of hive prices that reduces the HBD income from posts.
I powered up 1000 Hive for the 6th month in a row
I'm pretty happy to continue this habit that I have taken to power up 1000 Hive at the beginning of every month. I have to admit that it's getting harder and harder every month. I'm however still doing it and I hope I will again to the same on first of July.
So far, 151 days have past since I've set my goals. This represents 41.3% of the curent year are behind us. To evaluate my progress, this represents my benchmark. I should therefore have reached the same percentage of my goals so far.

When I look at the these numbers and at my benchmark, I see that I'm 2.1% behind for Hive Power and a staggering 9.5% behind for HBD. The gap is unfortunately widening.

One reason why the gap between my progress and the benchmark is getting bigger is that I don't create as many posts as I should. This month, I only wrote 9 posts. In March, I posted 12 times and in April 10 times. I have a very heavy month ahead of me in terms of offline stuff, so I don't think think that I will be able to improve this rate anytime soon.
The other reason why I'm getting behind is that the value of Hive is lower now. This means that post rewards generate less HBD. This month, I earned 200 HBD from interests and only 115 HBD from post rewards.
There are 7 months to go. It seems tough and I'm not sure I will reach my goals but who knows what can happen until December...

It's not impossible but I did put a more reasonable number at the start of the year. I don't like overshooting that much

The low price of HIVE not too bad a thing. I'm able to accumulate quite a bit more HIVE than I would have expected. 🤣 It's an amazing feat from you that you're managing to consistently power up 1k/month though. Great job! 👍
Since I also put HBD in savings the 1k per month actually comes from HE income and from games. It's pretty tough to keep it upright though :-)

Hmm, what do you use to check? HiveStats? I used the monthly reports from the FRIDAY bot and they are totally different from what I have on HiveStats, lol.
EDIT: Never mind, HiveStats, reports the author rewards as HP only, even if it's HP+HBD, but the amounts coincide when you do the math.
I actually just check the difference with previous month minus interest payments. I think author rewards are even lower since I have bought some HBD this month.
Happy LPUD. I also thought the same, I will do the same every month, but due to the bad situation in Pakistan, I cannot do it, because I have to withdraw money for everything, but in the coming time, when I have a good job. If it starts, I will definitely start doing it this way.

Congratulations on another 1K power-up! It is a huge number and you shouldn't feel bad about the other (HBD) goal... Everything comes in its time... And when the HIVE price is low, it is obviously not the time for HBD...

I try to keep this 1K power up habit alive as long as possible. Each month is a question mark whether I will reach it again. For HBD it will be mor difficult :-)

Powering 1000 is great, but lacking behind your goal is not great, you need to post on a daily basis to reach the goal you have set for this year. I know it's hard, but you can do it for sure.
That would be ideal to create a post every day :-)

A goal with time limits only equates stress and disappointment, regardless of what you achieved. Remove the time constraint and simply enjoy the journey and the achievement reached by arriving at the end.
I agree with you that it puts some pressure but in the end I set these goals for myself and if I don't reach them, it doesn't really matter :-)
