Prediabetes is a condition where the blood sugar level is higher than normal but lower than the level of diabetes. Without intervention, prediabetes will end up being full-blown diabetes.

Lifestyle intervention, with or without drugs, may reverse prediabetes into a normal sugar level. A study showed that regular lifestyle interventions (such as exercise and a healthy diet) without weight loss are sufficient to reverse prediabetes. Hence, no need to be discouraged if the weight machine doesn't show a weight reduction. Lifestyle intervention provides the benefits in the background!
