Eating out really has lost its charm when the bill doesn’t match the food or service.

It’s even worse when you’ve got family with you and you want everyone to enjoy themselves, but instead you’re left frustrated.

At least you showed support for your daughter, though I can understand how she felt embarrassed about it. Honestly, with prices climbing and quality dropping,

I agree sometimes home-cooked meals feel like the better celebration.
Still, I like how you balanced it by being thankful for your family and community. That gratitude shines through, no matter the bad experiences.

    Yeah exactly, it doesn't seem to be getting any better just more expensive.

    Still we supported our daughter and still had a good family time over it.

    We learned a lesson here, honestly it is annoying spending that money, especially as i am a trained chef by trade and my wife is an excellent cook anyway.

    We could have done much more and better for a lot less to be honest.

    At least we didn't have any dishes or clean up to do after. 🤣
