This week an interesting question came up regarding the CTPSB richlist. Somebody asked me why the account @null was in second position of the token richlist. In the video, I'm explaining why this is the case.

there are many cases the token burning does not work, however I am glad this one works well
Burning isn't always the answer but with our configuration every burnt token actually increases the value of all the remaining ones.
this is always great positive signal for a token!

It show that supply is under control and real value is backing the token I believe.
That is good to know. It maintains value for the token and at the same time, it lets people in and out. I am wondering if a diesel pool could kind of replace that function or would you still need to powerdown if that were the case?
The diesel pool could be a solution but I believe it would be much more difficult to actually track the token value and we would probably have to power down all the same if there is a lot of sell pressure.

To simplify, I think @null should be excluded from the richlist as the tokens are burned and cannot be recovered.

That's true and it gives often a false token distribution, since there can be more than 100% of tokens in circulation if null is not excluded.

Interesting... I didn't know about the CTPSB burning... so that's the additional reason for a higher APR!
