Nice post and thoughts Bradley, I am not sure if dumbed down is the right word, but definitely easier to use, and the fact is I think PeakD is making great progress in that direction while also having lots of options for power users, if we look at Hive.blog it's usually lacking a lot of features while still not being simple and at the same time just being awful to use on mobile, PeakD is the way forward I think.
