I like that name - blushing bromeliad! I checked epiphytes, specifically whether mistletoe is an epiphyte and it turns out that it's a parasite because it draws its nutrients from the tree whereas bromeliads and orchids don't. I didn't know that many orchids are epiphytes - well, I didn't know the word "epiphyte" until now. Thanks!

It's quite fitting, isn't it? Oh, excellent, and yes, mistletoe are considered partial parasites (hemiparasites), as while they do draw nutrients and water from the tree, they also do photosynthesize as well. Indeed, most orchids and bromeliads are indeed epiphytes, with a few oddball exceptions which are terrestrial. I'm happy to have introduced you to a new term, wonderful! Sure thing, you're most welcome! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
