This Monday was like most regular Mondays. Before you know it, the day is over. But it came with an announcement that we are heading towards another full evening lockdown in Suriname (lockdown from 7 PM until 5 AM), as we are having another spike in cases. This time around there have also been several cases of people I know personally, but luckily all of them have recovered and are safe. The situation seems to be uncontainable for the government, so extra precaution is taken over the holidays, which means all restaurants are closed for dining, even if it is outside, and pretty much all plans are being cancelled. So as Christmas dinners become Christmas lunches and everything is looking a bit grim, the more reason I have to look towards 2021 and look how we can convert lessons learned in 2020 to opportunities for a better and happier life.
