It's good to look at the actual numbers when we're evaluating things. I'm happy to see you post numbers in all your posts. I am watching them but I don't think they look all that bad. Not great, to be sure. But not quite terrible yet.

Projects and Tokens

It's so essential to know the people that run the projects and tokens

Hope you don't mind if I discuss this a little bit, and give my personal thoughts. I would agree that it is better to know the people that run projects and tokens. We could then examine their track record over time. But on the other hand, HIVE has no KYC and anyone can create an account, or a hundred accounts, with no one knowing for sure who is the person behind the accounts. I kind of like it being this way. So it is a trade-off. We can evaluate things better with more info, but people have reasons for only giving what personally identifying info they choose to give the rest of us.

I have bought tokens from token creators who I definitely know who they are, and from some that I am very sure that I know them but not positive, and from some who I have no idea who they are. Since I collect tokens Just For FUN, I don't spend a ton of time analyzing future profitability, either by looking at the numbers or sleuthing to figure out the token creator. Too much work for something I do Just For FUN. But certainly others can choose their preferences for analyzing the tokens they collect and their creators. I respect everyone's choices! :)

Anyway, back to HIVE.

One thing I think about is that the HIVE system is self-correcting in a way. If a lot of people leave, or just stop posting, the same reward pool is given every day and it is divided among less people in that case. So higher rewards for those who stick it out. And then maybe whoever new finds us will see those higher rewards and give it a shot.

#VSC is coming along, and it may produce a better token system than hive-engine. We'll see, but it is something to be optimistic about. #HoloZing game is making a bit of progress again, and #Splinterlands still has a decent player base. And you and your partners are doing a great job with #Alive! :)

The situation is still dynamic, and certainly not hopeless. Let's get through the holidays and push forward in 2026 and beyond!

I agree, and I'm really happy to hear that you appreciate those numbers that I share. You're actually the first one to mention them. Yes, that's true, they're not at critical levels yet, and I hope that they don't get there.

I don't mind at all, in fact I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences. Yes, I appreciate the no-KYC potentially-anonymous aspect of Hive as well. People can have however many accounts they'd like, but their trustworthiness comes from the daily interactions, connections, and relationships shared and grown over time, regardless of which account they're using. I've always been very open about myself, probably far more than I should, and people who know me here understand that my intentions are pure, and that I'm working for the betterment of everyone around me, and Hive as a whole. I want to work and co-create with others who are equally sincere in their desire to build something beautiful for all of us.

I appreciate your perspective on layer-2 tokens, Kenny, and I'm somewhere in the middle, because doing what I do with investing, leveraging, and growing assets is very fun for me, but I've learned to only invest large sums in the assets of people that I've come to trust over time. I was never into money, finance, investing, or anything like that until I came to Hive. Now I don't know how not to leverage and grow assets, and to build multi-stream income systems.

Yes, I do believe that to be true, and I'm not going anywhere. I've loved and believed in this blockchain for too many years, and I've invested huge amounts of time, energy, and even good amounts of fiat and crypto assets, to give up. I'm all-in for the long haul, come what may. I've definitely noticed the increased rewards on posts, and that is indeed a big benefit to staying consistent, which I have done, for the vast majority of my time on Hive. I've never really paid attention to the fiat-dollar price of HIVE until I learned about the Hive Debt, now I eye it uneasily...lol! I've always said that the best time to grow is when the blockchain is least active.

Indeed, I do my best to keep track of as much development on Hive as I can, and there are some quite exciting things in the works, including VSC/Magi. I'm very much looking forward to it as a compliment to Hive Engine, and not it's replacement. If Hive Engine goes, then all layer-2 tokens, and many communities would follow. That would kill most of what's left on Hive. I know it certainly would for me. I really appreciate you mentioning the positive developments, my friend, and I'm very grateful that things are going so well with the We Are Alive Tribe. I just try to stay ahead of the game, so that I have an idea of how to allocate my energy and resources to making this community as strong and resilient as I possibly can.

I very much agree, and that's my plan indeed, let's go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
