Hibiscus is an easy plant to grow from cuttings. When you cut it back, peel a little bark from the bottom, and stick the cutting in damp but not soggy potting soil, keep it damp, and keep it out of direct sunlight. After it roots put in the sun, and for 2 weeks, put something over it to filter the sunlight. Then it is good for full sun.
