The photos are very good, the tropical character of the area you live in is clear.
The last photo, looks like a banana bush, here in my country, the leaves of that bush, is used for the preparation of several meals, it gives them a very special flavor.

Yep, the last photo is indeed of banana plants! That's interesting about the banana leaves being used to flavor food, I hadn't heard that before. I know in several countries that the leaves are used to wrap food.
