RE: This Covid Thing is starting to Suck 😶 IAAC #44

Most governments have been very inadequate in the consistency of measurements and restrictions. Especially the corrupt ones. In some cases it's just because they have never met with something like this, but in some it's also that the people working in risk management are just not qualified for their job and never thought they would have to do it properly. That's the case here in Suriname, as we don't have natural disasters and the people who are working in that department have been placed there through nepotism and not by their own skill.

Funny enough restrictions are loosened as soon as the economy and big companies face potential losses.
I'll join you in hoping that it's all over soon.

Yeah most countries had broad aability to add restrictions, which is probably why we did not get them, since that was not added to our constitution, but instead the ability to add specific restrictions instead, only ones targeted towards lowering the spread while not doing a full lockdown, what does surprise me though is that they did not go against the constitution, there are other areas where they do not care about it.

They're all about rights and laws, until it doesn't profit them anymore. Laws only have power if everyone agrees they do. And even then they can only be upheld if law enforcement believes in them.

Yeah I think there was a profit motive involved too, the family with most influence in Sweden is called Wallenberg and they control more than half the economy here, they are even big in Europe too, I think you have heard of companies like Ericsson and ABB, plus they even got one of our biggest banks in their pocket, all owned though foundations and with a focus on stocks with high vote value.

Oh nice, you guys have your own Rothchilds. 🙃

But it doesn't surprise me. While we think government leaders have all the power, the puppet masters remain behind the screen. We have the same type of situation with influential families here backing all winning parties, even if they backed the rival in the last election.
