It would be really hard (but not impossible) for an open-source project to take off (become popular with lots of users) without support from companies or corporations. 🤯

That's where users who love FOSS projects should come in and contribute where they are able and willing to. 🤗🤓

Absolutely, and yet those are the only projects that I really support, aside from Linux itself, which is already being taken over from the inside by corporations. I want nothing to do with them.

Personally, I would only contribute to projects which are 100% community-based. No corporate nonsense for me! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Looks like you would support Linux distros which can prove that they aren't (significantly) influenced by corporations. 🤔 Anyway, it's hard to find (open-source) software projects that are totally 100% community-based. 🤯😅

Yes, in terms of distributions, you're absolutely right. That's one of many reasons that I use Arch Linux. I've been wanting to dive into FreeBSD too, but I need another computer, since my laptop is always on and running Qortal. Indeed it is challenging, but I've been quite good at finding them! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Well, presently I don't have sufficient fiat to invest in one, so no plans at the moment. I'd be fine with a fairly good older computer, as Linux and FreeBSD would both work fine on it most likely. 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Hehe...yep, it's unlikely that I'll swap out Arch for another distro. I've been on Arch for almost 7 years now. I'm more inclined to finally give FreeBSD a try, as it is an excellent OS. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
