It's easy to find beauty on the beach at sunset with a $1,000 glass of sparkling wine while embracing the person you love. When there is harmony on the outside, there is no room for bad thoughts or ugliness on the inside. Perhaps that's why many strive to capture the best of their lives and show it to the world. Thus, by convincing others, one tries to convince oneself. The happiest person forgets about the photo, he keeps the memory in feelings instead of colors (this does not apply to bloggers, this is work). The coolest day most often goes without a photo. 1,000 photos in a day is either work or finding things that aren't there...
More often than not, we see ordinary things every day. The non-ideal simple objects of this non-ideal world. Every day. It starts with your own room, which is always non-ideal (if yours is different, send me a photo). The permanence of something can be very boring and very bad timing. Which is what happens to me most of the time, if you don't change your places, your thoughts, or your perspective on the world.
Still, we live in a great time when you can escape to any corner of the universe without getting off the couch. Which is what many of us practice, getting hooked on the needle of social media, TV series, or games. I like more walking, meditation and being in the moment. All of these things can be put together if you try hard. Then something new appears in these simple things. Sometimes you don't even know what it is, you have to take pictures to figure it out later. Is it the feelings, the fresh air, the mood, the company or the solitude? Or is it all together?
It's you.
Whatever it is, it's always you. Not the body or the thoughts, it's the you that you don't really know yet. It sounds like a complicated mindset, but it's actually the simplest thing we miss every day. Life has no place or time (hello Einstein). Even the universe is in question if it is only in our invented and formulated world, which is in each individual head (or brain?). And if we continue this chain, it gets longer and more confusing. Perhaps that's why many scientists have gone mad or simply refused to go any further (hello Perelman). In the end, everything becomes meaningless if you just find yourself. Realize that and let life just be...
The birds sing in the morning. The rays of sunlight through the curtains. The smell of coffee from the kitchen. Warm sand on the beach. Bright flowers in the middle of a wasteland. The silence of the city at night. These are all simple things that appear in our day all the time. Noticing it is easy by being here and letting it happen. It's enough to just live. Since we have forgotten how to live.
These are the thoughts for today. I am alive!
