Over my past four years of investing in the Hive Blockchain Ecosystem, and synergistically leveraging and growing assets within it, as I've continued to build, tweak, and refine my Hive Multi-Stream Passive-Income Machine, certain investments, and investment strategies, have notably stood out to me as being solidly consistent, reliable, stable, and with excellent returns over the long term. Ever since I first started investing on Hive so many years ago, I've been learning how to funnel income streams in a reciprocally-synergistic manner, to feed various Hive investments domains with each other's incoming assets, to grow and leverage assets and income streams more efficiently, effectively, and strongly over time.
Even though I love good layer-2 tokens, the two top best Hive investments that I've made, with the biggest bang for the buck, are in layer 1, Hive Power and HBD in Savings. Aside from all of the other more well-known benefits of Hive Power, it also allows us to invest strongly in layer-2 assets, both through direct delegations, as well as via HP leases. HP leases have become a cornerstone for my layer-2 investing, as they provide me with a daily income of SWAP.HIVE. This SWAP.HIVE can then be used to buy or swap for various valuable and useful layer-2 assets, such as ALIVE, BBH, BBH, BBHO, BXT, and to add liquidity to assorted excellent diesel/liquidity pools, which are also at the top of my list of investments (and which I mention often in these posts).
The daily liquidity rewards from several pools can then be reinvested back into the same pools, or be used to funnel into, and to begin growing assets, in new pools. There are also some quite high-value tokens that arrive in some of these daily liquidity rewards as well, which can be held or staked/delegated.
HBD, which is already an excellent investment now when staked/deposited to Savings, is also going to be exceedingly important for investing in VSC's new implementation of layer 2, since it is going to be the base pair for all the soon-to-be diesel/liquidity pools, pairing a stable asset with a volatile asset, to offer one-sided volatility. HBD is also used to generate Resource Credits for transactions on VSC, so the more asset transactions that there are, the more HBD is required to process them. It's going to be in very high demand soon, which is why I'm growing it as quickly as I possibly can.
So Hive Power, HBD in Savings (and soon in VSC's diesel/liquidity pools), HP leases, Hive-Engine diesel/liquidity pools, and solid layer-2 tokens (run by committed, dedicated, dependable, reliable, and consistently-active people), are my Hive investments that have benefitted me the most, and they're the ones that I recommend for new Hive investors. Even though it's only partly connected to Hive (via the diesel/liquidity pools), I must also say that I've created quite a lovely investment synergy between Blurt and Hive, wherein I periodically send liquid BLURT that I earn on Blurt, to Hive Engine to add to the various SWAP.BLURT pools, which then also benefits me on Blurt, so it's good for me on both blockchains, and good for both blockchains themselves. My investment of time and energy on Blurt has been paying off very well indeed, and on both blockchains, so it would also need to be near the top of my Hive investment list as well. Synergistic investing and asset leveraging on Hive (and beyond) is an art and a science, and one at which I'm determined to become continually better, for the good of all.
Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing up my Hive tasks, quite late due to rain, around 2:30PM, giving my attention first to some photography for my posts. Once I had a nice batch of photos taken, I walked around the property with Avi to find and harvest ripe bananas (well, not fully ripe, but close, and we found one big rack). Upon finishing up with that, I went to the Landing to make myself some food (spiced-and-seasoned ground beef, eggs, pepperjack cheese, onions, tomatoes, amaranth leaves, longevity spinach leaves, olive oil, and sea salt), and after eating my fill, and collecting my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the fridge, I headed back to the Flow House, to begin my evening Hive and Blurt tasks, and to catch up on my Hive notifications. I got everything done by just after 9:30PM, and after some asset management (at least a few Hive-Engine nodes were working, mostly), I went to bed around 11:15PM. I woke up about 6AM, having slept well, doing more asset management (with difficulty, since the solar electrical system crashed again last night), babysitting the solar electrical system (twice) until the batteries had sufficient charge to turn the power back on, going back to the Flow House to get my Qortal node back online, heading back to the Flow House to finally make my superfood fire coffee, then returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 1:30PM, so it's a splendid time to wrap this up, so that I may get to my other few important Hive and Blurt tasks, before leaving the Flow House a little later in the afternoon, to focus first on photography, then on community/land work. 2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
