Most here have likely noticed, and are enjoying, the surge in HIVE's value compared to fiat currencies over the past few days. It's not just HIVE, however, that is mooning, but most cryptocurrencies in the Cryptoverse are seeing a similar trend, to the delight of many. This evaluation of HIVE, or any other cryptocurrency for that matter, in relation to fiat currencies, while being that to which most people pay attention, is only significant from very limited perspectives.
If we want to convert our Hive assets to fiat, then yes, this comparison has use in practical terms, but in the greater scope of the true value of HIVE, or the many other assets on this Blockchain, this type of evaluative comparison woefully misses the mark. Why? Because Hive's layer-1 and layer-2 assets are more inherently and intrinsically valuable than any fiat currency. Why again? Well, Hive's assets, unlike all fiat currencies, are not based on debt, nor are they owned or controlled by a centralized power. That in and of itself is huge.
On May 22, 2010, celebrated as Bitcoin Pizza Day, Laszlo Hanyecz bought two pizzas for 10,000 BTC. This was the first recorded instance of an individual using crypto assets to buy real goods in the world. From our perspective now this sounds crazy given BTC's dramatic rise in value compared to fiat currencies since that point in time. BTC was the first cryptocurrency, which gave rise to innumerable others, including our own beloved tokens here. BTC's prominence over the past decade and a half has been quite incredible indeed, though at some point it will be replaced by other, better cryptocurrencies.
Hive and its assets, on a technological and practical level, are far better than BTC in every regard, with immensely more use-cases. Keep that in mind on this wild crypto ride. Will HIVE reach BTC levels compared to fiat? I don't know. To me the potential of our Hive Blockchain Ecosystem far exceeds that of the BTC blockchain, or any other blockchain of which I'm aware. Hive represents an entire fully functional (and far superior) economic system in and of itself, which from my view may indeed subplant and eventually replace the present fiat slave-system economy. I will just keep showing up here, every day, to build, grow, save, and share information to educate.
It's been sunny and quite warm (verging on hot) for most of the week, with very little rain. This is putting a lot of stress on both plants here, and the people too, as we've had multiple problems with our water system that we've been working to fix. As of this morning we have little to no usable water, whether due to malfunctioning pumps or empty catchment tanks. That's a bit of an issue. We can buy water from town to drink, but we need some good, solid rain to refill the catchment tanks. Two new pumps are on their way, too. Hopefully we'll be able to get everything working again very soon.
Hive catch-up and tasks got most of my focus from morning to late afternoon yesterday, as is my present norm. I've been able to stay caught on with Hive all week, which is a very good thing. I left the Flow House to go do some land work about 4:30PM, when it was beginning to cool off a little. Braja, Ano's mother, had asked me if I could help her with a few small tasks at her place, so that's what I did first. I also cleared in front of her house with my machete.
After helping Braja, I met up with @aukuna to plant two types of edible greens, longevity spinach - Gynura procumbens and red Malabar spinach - Basella alba 'Rubra' (many edible greens are called 'spinach', and it has nothing to do with whether they are related or not). We planted the Malabar spinach in the fenced garden, and the longevity spinach got planted in a few select spots on the property. Both are very vigorous, and they can hold their own among the many other vigorous plants here. This is our first time planting Malabar spinach, and I'm excited to see how it does.
After planting greens, @aukuna helped me bring several 5-gallon buckets of soil up to the Flow House, to create another planting area on the lava. I planted a small iboza - Tetradenia riparia, and @aukuna planted some plumeria - Plumeria rubra cuttings. I'm slowly turning the lavascape around the Flow House into a beautiful and useful garden.
After our lava planting, I made myself some food in the Landing, then I returned to the Flow House to do my nightly Hive catch-up and tasks, before bed. I got to sleep pretty early again last night, and I slept well, so I feel clear and focused this morning. I woke up just before 6AM and did a round of Hive catch-up and a task or two in bed, and then I began on this post, before falling back to sleep until about 9AM.
It's now just about 12PM, so it's a good time to end this post, so that I can dive into another round of Hive catch-up and tasks, before land work later. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow morning! Onward and upward, together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

This really is how all money should be - no centralized control, no out of control quantitative SQUEEZING, no we declare this note legal tender because we wrote it on the paper. When digital currency is introduced, it will have a very difficult time competing with real decentralized currency - unless greed causes too many people to sell out and adopt the central bank's next garbage.
I completely agree with you on that, Benjamin! Yes, that is how all money should be, indeed! As can be seen easily with the difference between cryptocurrencies like HIVE and HBD compared to the CBDCs, all crypto is most definitely not created equally! Personally, I would not touch these Central Bank Digital Currencies with a thousand-foot pole! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
