I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

I don't know how many of you noticed it, but we just passed through a 24-hour period of Ecency's notifications not functioning. I noticed it first the night before, and then it became clear to me last night when I went to check my notifications, and there were almost none. For someone who receives hundreds of notifications each day, this was a problem. Thankfully I thought to use Engage, which I had first started using when I became a comment moderator for @aliveandthriving, to find and get through my notifications, which I was able to do. Engage has an option to open all links in various frontends, so I chose Ecency, which I used to upvote and engage. Because I had this backup way to find and get through my notifications, I was at the top of the Ecency Leaderboard when I went to bed.

This is one of the great lessons that I've learned living off-grid in the jungle, and being here on Hive: backups and redundancy are very beneficial, helpful, and useful to have! Because of this, I do my best to have backups and redundancy for all critical functions, which allows me to leapfrog over particular platforms or frontends not working when I need them, to accomplish what I need to do.

Whether it's publishing posts or doing token management, I usually have multiple alternative ways of getting things done on Hive. When PeakD's Hive-Engine interface stopped working a few months ago, I was more than a little perturbed, because PeakD's interface is the one that I preferred for most token management, such as staking and delegating. I've been using BeeSwap and Hive Engine since PeakD's interface broken, which has allowed me to still accomplish my needed daily tasks since then. While I do appreciate various things about both BeeSwap and Hive Engine, I still miss PeakD's interface.

For those like myself that have committed themselves to publishing at least one post each day, and having consistently rock-solid engagement, creating contingency plans with preferably multiple redundant backups is a necessity. The Hive ocean is always moving, shifting, and changing, so we must learn to sail under any conditions, and having backups and redundancy is how we do it!

Yesterday, Tuesday, I left the Flow House, after finishing my Hive tasks, just before 1:30PM. My first task was to do some focused body work on Ano, at his request. Once that was done, I returned to the Flow House for a short while longer, then I went to the Landing to strain out and blend kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao). After keifr, I went to Tutu's to do the dry-goods order for the Wednesday town run. When that was done, I took a short break, then I sharpened my machete, and did more clearing work along the second driveway, near the Flow House, with Ano, getting a good bit done. After working I took a shower, collected my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee from the Landing fridge, and then I made my say back to the Flow House, for my evening round of Hive tasks, and catching up on my always-numerous notifications. I was so focused on finding and getting through my notifications via Engage (and later Ecency, when notifications started working again) that I didn't even pay attention to when I finished, all I know is that I made myself go to sleep just after 12AM. I did thankfully sleep well, waking up around 7:15AM, doing a round of token management, starting on this post, and then getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee.

It's now just before 11:15AM, so a wonderfully early time to end this post, so that I can get to a few important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House later in the afternoon, to first strain out and blend kefir, maybe take more photos for these posts, and then land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until tomorrow's incarnation of this post! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁 🙏💚✨🤙

2024 Life Goals

1.) Heal my broken heart, reignite my heart sun, and embody a solid, healthy masculine, allowing my electric fire to shine bright, no matter what others, especially women, say or do.

2.) Bring myself and my life back into balance, integration, and wholeness.

3.) Do regular (naked) integral practices again, alone or with others.

4.) Dance regularly again.

5.) Work with natural entheogens (mushrooms, ganja, ayahuasca), with punctuated regularity, as a part of my healing process again.

6.) Get, and keep, regular deep, integral energy-body-tantric work healing sessions for women flowing again.

7.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.

8.) Make my plant nursery beautiful again.

9.) Live as an integral part of a juicy heart-resonant soul tribe community, with deep, coherent mutual and shared passion, purpose, mission, love, warmth care, sweetness, reverence, respect, aliveness, admiration, excitement, enjoyment, playfulness, work, fun, laughter, attraction, and all-level connections and relationships.

10.) Make love with the woman, or the women, that I love, every day, as a sacred devotional practice.

11.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.

2 big things here:

  • Wise words about backups and redundancy! Absolutely true! And one can never be safe enough in those!
  • Some great pictures again!!!! Really!!! Love the close up of the sun through leaf, and the sun above the palmtrees!

  • Because lists are cool, draw peoples attention, and are very useful!
  • But do they earn you extra Ecency points? Or steps up the leaderboard?
  • Unfortunately:

I can't even imagine how it would be to live off-grid. Maybe off-grid while producing my own power with solar panels but not without power at all.
I'm using BeeSwap for quite a while now and it suits me the best.

 last year

Yes, we have a pretty good solar electric system that works great most of the time. I would find it to be challenging to live without electricity too! BeeSwap is great. I use it for a goodly number of things every day. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
