Film-makers managed to ruin a lot of things, sadly. The film's director was born in 1988, as far as I understood. (Comment section of review I mentioned is very curious to check. 5k comments, I did not get to the tail eventually).

I've watched the review you mentioned. They only used the names and the song, and the rest is in the style of the Avengers rather in a bad way - a plot mess with fights, explosions, and simple jokes.
The Avengers - quite different movies (mostly boring) united in one quazi-series. I liked Guardians of the Galaxy movies 1 and 3, lovely sci-fi fun. And at last younger generations got acquainted with the music of the 90s. :D
Level of the (millenials) generation... They also ditched to the gutter 'the bright future of communist society' - which is pretty understandable: future is rooted here, in the capitalism, thus nothing different can grow up on it. 🤪
