Hey Hive Friends,
Namaste πŸ™
I am excited to share my another @Wednesdaywalk experience with my community friends.
Some of my friends may read my pervious blog on that I mention that I am engineering consultant and I share my last week experience with one of my client. On this Tuesday, we went to Tamilnadu for a client meeting. We were plan to come back to office on Tuesday itself, but we can't, and we stay back there.

On this wonderful morning, we plan to visit a grape plantation me to our stay. I already visited there once before that day am I rush, and I have no more time, I need to visit some other places too. Today am free and we have enough time to spend there.

@livinguktaiwan and @mipiano this blog is delicate to you my dear friends, you both are giving some wonderful supports to me in this hive community and am thankful for that.

Morning nearly 6 am we started from our hotel to the plantation. It's very pleasant and cool morning. In general the temperature is high in Tamilnadu, but today it's cool because there is heavy rain in Kerala it's just 20 to 30 kilometres away from our current location.

It takes nearly 45 minutes walk to reach the grape plantation, while walking we can see the local people are doing their jobs on the plantations. Here in Tamilnadu the labours starts the work in plantations and farms in early morning, and they take some rest in noon then they start in evening and continue till 6 to 7 pm based on Sunlight. They follow this pattern to avoid working on very high temperature.

When we reach the plantation they also start their daily function they have a small shop was there to sell their products. They are selling the grape juice, grapes and wine etc

We just ask the permission to them to walk through the plantation they answered there are no issues they are generally allowing visitors in their plantation they have only one condition please do not damage the plants and don't pick the grapes from the plan. We agreed and move towards the plantation.

Near to the shop we find a different shape trolley vehicle they called it as Thalluvandi it means a vehicle moving with human puhsing it. They use this trolley to collect the grapes from different location of the plantation to their storage, also used to transport the fertilizers and other needful things all around the plantations.

While walking, it's a nice experience there is no human in the plantation, and we can see long distance in the plantation one side if filled matured grapes, on another side there are new plants they do not have the fruits on it.

From the farmer who worked there, we collect some details about the production and their activities. I am not sure about the gentility about the technical side He told that they keep one grape plant nearly 5 to 10 years after every season they will cut down the plant, and it starts to grow up new steams. Then again, after collecting all grapes, they do the same.

IMG_2634.jpg

They are providing stone legs to carry the weight of the grapes. I realise the weight by seeing the size of the steams. Some are larger than the size of my hand.

IMG_2635.jpg

They are doing the job very smart way they cut down the plants in end of the summer, so they don't need to give much water to the plants. While developing new steams, they provide small quality of water. When the plants become large, that time they will sufficient water naturally itself.

After discussing with the farmer, we continue our walk through the plantation. One side is completely filled with grape, it's amazing view, The opposite side is something like an art work. There are big steam some leaves are there also the cloudy sky provide an extraordinary background.

We can find different stages of the grape plant from here. Some plants are just starts to grow up, some have the flowers, some have the fruits.

Our walk continue more than 2 hours through the plantation at nearly 9.30 some other visitors also came to the plantation. At that time some staffs from the farm come and block some path's, and they told that is they go all over the plantation it's very difficult for them to control the visitors activities that's why they are blocking some regions. Anyway, we are lucky to walk all around the Plantation.

After our walk, we came back to the entrance itself, and we buy some fresh grape juice from there. It's quite perfect, they told that they do not add sugar to this juice. This grape juice act as a power booster. We feel very fresh after the juice. We plan to leave the place, while leaving we purchase some grapes also from there. We leave from there with some many of memories, also we take so many pictures from there. Till now, we can't sort out the picture.
