A sunset wow

For my Wednesday walk today I want to share a series of sunset photos taken in June. On this Wednesday walk I recall the thrill of seeing the early pink glow of the sunset through the trees. Although sunsets are an everyday affair some are far more impressive than others.

I remembering thinking at the time how fabulously opportunistic this little series of photos were as it was @tattoodjay's #Wednesdaywalk afternoon. My plan was to get home and start writing, but it was not meant to be as an unexpected curve ball came from the left and stopped my creativity. Other forces were at work. I went on an adventure to Brisbane. Everything at the right time they say and today is the right time at long last to share.

Here are the next photos I took as I walked further along the path. It is gobsmacking how quickly the pink in the sunset darkened from one one photo to the next. No stopping the movement of nature.

As only nature can, the dramatic finale was getting ready for the big wow effect. I wonder who looked? The choreography so perfectly timed as the daylight was bidding goodbye and night was rushing in. The speed left me wondering? How did the colours turn to a deep orange glow when only pretty shades of pink seemed to be only minutes ago?

The very quiet but incredibly striking backdrop over looking shops and business buildings on the main road, busy tired people driving home after a busy day. I wonder who looked and saw this dramatic colour stretching through the late afternoon sky.

One more photo to share the blending of amazing amazing and the little town's buildings and electric wires all blending and all so dramatic and beautiful. How I love contradictions.

It only seemed like yesterday when I went walking along the path of changing colours and yet it was more than 2 months ago. Magical sunsets only appear now and then. Sadly on my walk this afternoon I did not see any sunset colours invading the sky as wondrously beautiful as nature's display in June.

Good night fellow #Wednesdaywalk bloggers
Kind regards
Angie

Winter sunsets have been stunning, most enjoyable when one stops to feast ones eyes on delightful colours above.

!LUV

We are having an extra cold winter this year @joanstewart and wonder if this would be why we are having stunning sunsets.

We are experiencing more cold fronts, snow bearing in the mountains, much like you the sunsets have been dazzling most every evening!

Nature is indeed full of mystery and speed :D Don't blink if you don't want to miss the changing of colors. Lovely sky!

Happy #WednesdayWalk :)

Hahaha, and don't look away. But, on the other hand sunsets are a daily occurrence as long it is not raining. Happy #Wednesdaywalk to you @leeart.

In find sunsets and sunrises to be more colorful if there is rain or after the rain. The droplets in the sky bring out the best of colors :D

love the warm color sin the sky, what a beautiful walk

One lovely descriptive word, thank you.

How lovely @angiemitchell - sunsets are so very special. We never get tired of the beauty.

We certainly don't and it is funny that of late there are no dramatically beautiful sunsets. I did a quick walk in the cold air yesterday with just a little bit of pink in the sky - nature is a mysterious curiosity. Maybe it is saying that it is also good to walk without stopping so much.🤩

Beautiful natural atmosphere looks interesting clouds. Thank you.

Hi @hsidik, the clouds in the last 2 photos are very interesting, it creates the most dramatic look doesn't it?

Yes, thank you are welcome.
