Cromane Beach

Good morning my dear hive friends.

Before 2 days ago me and my husband decided to take a walk. It was beautiful and sunny but super windy..

I took my jacket and we headed to the Cromane Beach.

Cromane is located around 9 kilometres from the town I live (Killorglin)

You can see Slieve Mish Mountains and the Dingle peninsula to the North and The MacGillycuddy Reeks to the South.

The walk was short and nice but it was super windy 😝 as you can hear on this video

We have small Boathouse cafe where we can buy refreshments (coffee, juice, ice-cream)

It looks really beautiful. And scenery around is amazing

There are some toys for the children.. They can take it and return later after playing 😍 so beautiful right?

Few picnic tables and amazing view 😍

And 2 monuments. I will copy the important text so you can see it closely.. It or quite sad to see what the church was doing 😭

A cillín (plural cillíní) is a historic burial site of unbaptised children at a time in our history when burial was not permitted in consecrated graveyards
CLOGHANEARONE CILLÍN
Many Cillíni have been discovered in monuments, abandoned churches, castles and on lake and seashores - places of significance and meaning to the local people
The site which can be-seen on the map is described locally as an unenclosed burial area, of roughly circular plan, which contains rows of uninscribed, upright grave-markers where wild heather would grow
It is difficult to appreciate the depth of grief and despair that a bereaved family underwent at such a time, made worse by knowing that they were to be denied the comfort of a mass and burial with family members
Coastgoard Sta
Perhaps Cloghanearone was chosen because of its peaceful seaside setting ensuring their children would always have a place in Cromane and that those interred there are not forgotten
ageta
There are three Cillíni in the Cromane area. Cloghanearone known locally as the Lios Na Gaoithe Cillin or An Killín, Caith na Leanbh in Lonhart and Killín Dúca in Dooks.

It was quite nice walk but super cold 😂 sun didn't help at all.. Enjoy your day

I love how you people take care of nature at your side of the world. It's beautiful.

It is not always nice and clean. Especially when tourists come. They are sometimes awful.. But in our town we have group of people that are called Tidy town group and they clean around. As you can see them on this pic. I took this image this morning while they were cleaning little bit outside the town

Yeah I know it's not always nice and tidy because most of us just love to liter. But then it's still our job to make nature clean. Unfortunately at my end we don't really care about these things, we even use ours as a dump site 😔

That's beautiful
Sending Love and Ecency Vote!

I can imagine myself, glass of wine upfront, sitting chill staring the horizon and shoeless.... These pics are just amazing! 💜

A beautiful light management in these photos with a wonderful sky....
