Wednesday Big Moves [EN - FR]

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago

Hi everyone !

I hope you are well :) Today we're going on a trip between the city and the countryside, from one workshop to the other. This is my in-laws' new building, somewhere south of Fontainebleau and its forest.

I'm very lucky that my girlfriend's parents are both artists, it's really amazing and much easier to live with ! For some time now I have been helping them move art, paintings and other stuff from the city to this new place.

Early in the morning, the loading started and even if the weather was very threatening, we fortunately did not have any rain !

These were mainly paintings, each of which was more than two metres in size, quite large, but above all very heavy in paint and therefore particularly heavy...

A short break with the return of the sun :)

That's it, everything is loaded and we take off from this part of the suburbs. You must be thinking that this is not strictly speaking a "walk" but it is still a move, and therefore an opportunity for me to share with you this movement in space !

After the ring road and the motorway, we feel that we are getting closer to the countryside and the forest by the shift of the concrete in the direction of the fragrant humus and the presence of more natural spaces because protected...

Once we arrived safely, we had a sandwich and without wasting time, we started to unload.

On the following pictures you will see details of the paintings and the space of this construction, but I can't really tell you more... To reveal too much would also reveal my real identity, and that is not possible... At least for the moment :D

Below, a double armchair from the 70's by a designer I really like... Even if I don't remember his name, I can find it for you if you are interested !

Everything has been completed and we are heading back to Paris. Tomorrow, we start again with other paintings :)

The sun was starting to rise in the late afternoon as we were leaving, but I'll spare you the rest - the less aesthetic part ^^ - because once on the road, it started to rain quite hard while we were stuck in traffic !

A rather vivid return to all these reasons (among others) why I wish to leave the city and join as soon as possible, a life focused on the essential, more in contact with Nature !

I hope you enjoyed this article, even if I may be playing with the limits of the community :)

Have a nice evening and take care of yourself and your loved ones, see you soon !

Sort:

Nice walk with paintings😊 Anyway your in-laws must be very happy about your talented help. it is not so easy to find somebody who handles millions worthy paintings, and he is helping them upload and download their paintings. take care anttn. have a nice weekend😊

Thanks you dear @hindavi, have a good one as well, I hope you’re doing fine !
They were indeed very happy and it’s always nice to participate on projects of people you care about ! See you soon ☀️

I am curious as to what sort of paintings you were transporting? They certainly look impressive from what you have shown. When I lived in the city, it always felt so good driving out of it and being welcomed back into nature.
Love that indoor swing chair, that is so cool.
That barge looks great as well, that is one thing I would love to try, living on a boat for a while. 9
Good luck with moving out of the city, I am sure you will find the perfect place xxxx

It was some nearly abstract paintings, just before the full abstract shift of my father-in-law’s :)
Yes ! Leaving the town is always a pleasant experience... even for few days, or just one haha !
The barge was also a possibility for us, but after those few first visits, I think we’ll try to find a small habitat, one we can restore pretty simply and turn into an autonomous unit... Thought about building one, but lands are to expensive... almost all of our budget without a house !!
Thanks for your wishes of support <3
Good Sunday to you and your daughters !

Love how you play with definition of 'walk" 😂😂😂😂 Are there plans to leave the city soon?

haha, but strangely, I walk everyday and it has to be a Wednesday I take the car 😉 but it was also a lot of legwork !

We’re going to visit a house Friday :)

I liked it!!!!! Oh really? A house in the countryside! I'd ask for you to tell us but something tells me you will... Excited for you!

Thanks you..! You guess it right :) Just happy and impatient to live the experience (it’s our first visit) and you read my mind about the desire to share about too ^^

Have a good day dear ☀️

oh, moving the paintings can't be easy either... as I am referring to moving a piano hahaha. Well, as I see how well organized you are, maybe I call you next time to help with the moving lol (p.s. luckily I have just a digital piano here in Spain - which basically I move almost alone ; )

I imagine it’s just as complicated for different reasons, volume and weight ! but never did with piano..! Now I only do moving for close people, prefer from far to hang art haha !
Take care dear 😘 I hope your arm and elbow are feeling much better !

Yes, it's completely ok now :)))
Though I am fighting now with time, well, the lack of it 😬 so piano playing is again on pause 🤦🏻‍♀️

ouf, glad this is the case !

but always difficult to move time, afterwards the need to catch back is persistent if not inevitable :)

I hope you will be back to it ! Have a nice evening 🍀

thanks :)) have a good one you too ;)
