Wednesday Walk: A Search For A Gift

It has been a day since I have properly rested at my apartment since the trips and duties I have to render at the school events. I shouldn't have been required to attend my classes since it has ended weeks ago, but this time, I don't have a choice even if the school attendance isn't required anymore.

For today's entry of #WednesdayWalk by Sir @tattoodjay, I have to search for a gift.

It's been a while since I've been here in this community, but here I am walking around the downtown area to look for a certain gift which I don't specifically have an idea which is it. However, I surely need to buy one for my little kid at home who will be having her Graduation Day at the Day Care Center tomorrow.

Before that, I went to the campus to finalize my grades in my P.E. subject and I was informed by our Instructor that I've got 98 in my Final Grades. Also, it might change to 99 if my final exam will be checked and the scores will be computed. Whatever the results, I'm relieved with what I currently got. That's far from failure and that's all it matters.

After that, we walked back to the jeepney terminal under the scorching sun with the heat index of 43°C at the moment. Gladly, it's been cloudy from time to time which gives us a little shade while walking for at least 10 minutes.

Fast forward.

We went here at 888 Premiere Mall. Since they were also looking for a white Polo Shirt or White buttoned-down shirt that Joshua needs for the upcoming Graduation pictorial next Friday, I went with them while hoping that I can spot a good gift on the way while they search for a shirt.

They have searched every thrift store around the mall but still couldn't find one that could fit Joshua. Instead, I was the one who found a gem. I bought that Midi Denim Skirt with a flower and leafy vines embroidery for only Php 100. I could save thrice the price if I'm going to buy online, so I bought one.

We have looked around the stores of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the mall but, unfortunately, we've left the place empty handed. Since they haven't bought what they wanted, they went home after that. Also, since I haven't bought a gift for my kiddo yet, I opted to transfer to another mall which is the SM City Mall Bacolod.

As you enter the North Wing Ground Floor of SM, you can instantly see the stall of SMDC real estate agents at the center. They're promoting Park Ville, a new residential site that will soon open at Santa Fe. I've heard that they have a firing range within the compound, so I inquired if it's true. Sadly, the agent said that they will be demolishing the fieing range and turn it into more housing lots. They have a good offer for each housing lots but I can't afford this in my current state, so I just keep a flyer with me for future purposes.

And, coming here is a right decision. My eyes were filled with delight as I saw different choices of toys and plushies. I was wven thinking of buying one plushy for myself but I know that it will only be disregarded on the edge of my bed as I still have a stash of untouched books at my shelf.

I remembered asking her back then if she likes toy cars and she said yes, so I bought those that she could have thrill of excitement while playing. One Backhoe truck and one mason truck.

I also bought her a Sunflower Plushy since she was fond of taking her stuffed toys with her everytime she sleeps. Sunflower is my favorite actually, that's why I bought that. Anyway, she doesn't have any preference. She'll be happy with anything I'll give her.

I'm thinking of having them all wrapped as a surprise gift for her, but the plushy was quite big. I bought a bigger Tote Bag instead so I can put them all in one place. Then, I stumbled in a corner where there are coloring and story books, and I was tempted to buy one, too. It's alright, she have used all the coloring books I gave her. She needs a new one actually to practice with during summer.

There goes for my walks today to reach its end as I paid the counter. The search was finally completed and I can go home happily with the stuffs I bought, and much more excited than my kid for sure.

Thanks for being with me until the end of this blog!
