Wednesday Walk: Appreciating God's Creation

Hello everyone! How's your day? Yesterday was Wednesday and it's a holiday here yet I'm still busy with some important task to comply and events to attend with. This is life. Right? Well, today I would like to share what makes me busy and I appreciate the amazing beauty of God's perfect creation while having my journey to the house in one of the BCBP members for the action group meeting. While on my way I realized how God perfectly created the world, and the creatures he made whether great or small. They are so lovely. This is my realization upon looking at the beauty of nature, and all creatures that I meet across. One of these is a river.

I saw a river where water was flowing freely. Since I seldom see a river, we stopped by for a while and looked around. I observe the running water that flows freely to the other corners of it or I don't know where it ends. Why there's a river that even if it's very hot and no more rain but the river has water still. I also imagined that when it rains, this silent river that flows freely is also dangerous since the water will become big and overflow.

Another thing I noticed was the tall trees and grasses. They were all green and even if the sun's heat struck its leaves, their wide and thick branches with leaves made the area cool and fresh.

When I moved to the upper part of the river I saw this creature named carabao or water buffalo taking bath. The carabao takes his body out of the water when he sees me. I felt that this animal was enjoying themselves while he bathed in the cold water of this river. So the river, trees,grasses and the unique land forms were all beautiful Creation of God.

Then after a few minutes, our group already called us. So we continued our walk to the house of our co-group until we arrived there. In a few minutes, we continued our meeting by starting it with a prayer and sharing our life experiences about how God interfered with us. By hearing their life experiences we can learn and we will be inspired and motivated to continue serving the Lord Jesús Christ our Savior so that we will be blessed. After our meeting, the host served us dinner for us to share before going home.

But wait, our busy Wednesday did not end there, since after our AGM we remembered that we had an invitation. After eating and had a full stomach, we went to our niece's house for a dinner. It was the first birthday of her son. Even if it was already very late in the evening and it was quite far from our town we still visited their house to celebrate her son's first birthday. Upon arrival, there were few guests left but I could tell that that were a lot of guests since the food in the food warmer was already consumed but there was a pork lechon left. Were full already but we still showed them that we still eat to show our respect. As family and relatives, we must show our love and care to them in happiness and sadness. This is one filipino culture that makes us Filipinos unique from other countries. The strong family ties. It was a holiday but still were busy with these important events to attend.
