An interesting walk to the old gas station and Veruda marina

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago (edited)

The day was beautiful and I used it for a long and even interesting walk for me and where I found goats, anchors, a cannon and of course a big old gas stove from 1912.

This happened early in the morning it's not very early but it's 13:45 where I heard some sounds from the heights and a lot of the same sounds that move Ducks

img_0.37494658610095827.jpg

They are quite tall Ducks and rare to see in this their beautiful flight formation which also moves quite fast behind their beautiful voice.
These dark dots on the left and catch the bright dots on the right and between them in the shape of the letter V - W are those.

The gasworks is very fascinatingly built, it is 100 years old, exactly in 1912 it was put into operation with 15,000 m3 / day, and the older gasworks in the city Pula center was built in 1880 with a weak capacity of 5,000m3 / day

img_0.8644774871799749.jpg

so that old building stands and is used today in good condition even though it does not look but does not let go

img_0.5645520521505176.jpg

so it is beautifully located in the bay of Veruda and adorns that bay

img_0.955005162137273.jpg

The biggest problem was not corrosion, which was not created so much, even though it is close to the sea, but vegetation creates a problem.

img_0.24375401521508633.jpg

which climbs and destroys iron, so the best mower on this planet is placed among those old buildings

img_0.6411665644001059.jpg

it is a real live lawn mower that even the hardest leaves and plant polisi is an Istrian Goat

img_0.04620602904631465.jpg

Beautiful animals that all that is green even thorns if there are buds

img_0.7480289209578979.jpg

Original and ingenious ecologically most efficient better than human animals maintain old facilities

img_0.026060381976961592.jpg

Even the terrain they flatten the stones in place as they climb it the more hilly the more interesting

img_0.8168162124205149.jpg

Honestly, I'm going for a walk, I'm a little scared, Prc is coming - a male goat, not to upset him has big horns and the fence is weak - skinny

img_0.9979350175946676.jpg

There was still sun, so I went on a small walk along the Veruda porat where I came across old ship anchors from the Venetian era.

As you enter the port, the park is small and you can see this anchor first .

img_0.9485416766674579.jpg

A little further there is this on the rocks raised everything on the hill is raised and adorns the bay and the promenade

img_0.5260291338442529.jpg

next to the bench to sit a small rest anchor , its hay is beautiful it gives me an atmosphere

img_0.43445138509246467.jpg

leather like the ships that carried those anchors for anchoring

img_0.6718002140037367.jpg

And that such cannons do not like them and shoot at them who guard the bay.

img_0.1374942016218791.jpg

To the right is the Histria Hotel , ...
, this star is Venus that shines and the surface of the sea shines with radiance

img_0.7231189196704996.jpg

To the left is Pjescana uvala

img_0.44509150010367055.jpg

between them is a passage leading to the shore

img_0.8966482071093812.jpg

And it’s nice to walk and watch that beauty of nature

img_0.6509798067795564.jpg

that's where I started coming back and I came across nice looking and juicy tomatoes I didn't try to top them

img_0.7883222077919395.jpg

i haven't tried them because they are so beautiful and rare for me to see in winter

img_0.9815974034158552.jpg

img_0.6986758701962645.jpg

let them grow and adorn the surroundings of the walk

img_0.04283862648001499.jpg

Here is another heart, there is a small park and a diving club so the old anchor comes nicely

img_0.49741947216364285.jpg

these are lighting lamps made like old masts but next to this one in hay

img_0.17334252737226336.jpg

There is a small sculpture in honor of the old creatures that should live on this shore of the aquatorium

img_0.41706748013267186.jpg

It is a Sredozemna Medvijedica - Phoca Mediterranean Bear (Lat. Monachus monachus)

img_0.5528220131824426.jpg

it is known from 1779 and now it is not one and it died unfortunately .

img_0.8565486129979785.jpg

Maybe they'll come back again and I'll move on

img_0.7552986519810141.jpg

a view of the sea surface like oil that reflects light like a mirror

img_0.21857792610424742.jpg

This thrilled me on this walk on this port. The toilet is open, free, clean and has hot water and paper wow perfectly beautiful .
That's nice ;))

img_0.6569303612156114.jpg

there is a nice little park with bamboo and a round bench for rest

img_0.39512077622209013.jpg

and from the bench you can see this

img_0.9900174383079857.jpg

before the exit is a large and strong crane to pull ships out of the sea for cleaning or repair and service

img_0.7617295415017407.jpg

This is the entrance to one terrace

img_0.7551847621598614.jpg

but I liked this above stone sculpture protection for the spin in the oyster

img_0.093735720362105.jpg

The darkness began to darken nicely and you can barely see in this bush behind these pumps and cottages the building of the old gas station

img_0.10816121617859327.jpg

The fence is old with old decorations

img_0.6754188072252104.jpg

the shadow is beautiful strong even decorated

img_0.5425270429003465.jpg

the road is long and a little cold but it's not scary not to smoke

img_0.46218036452646166.jpg

there are plenty of Olives planted there and it is nice to see them

img_0.10163477552614995.jpg

and his shadow along the way

img_0.16662814683354935.jpg

these floating houses I don't know what they are but they are nicely seen on the water reflecting

img_0.4538395380676072.jpg

This is Venus.
A star that shines like the moon very strongly and on the surface of the sea is the only one to be seen shining .

img_0.9332251180329886.jpg

This is a sculpture on a forest invested by Veruda porto and behind it I photographed the star Venus so that she is not bothered by other lights.

img_0.6637929054150636.jpg

This is where my little walk ends with a few words and a few photos for you at HIVE to see a little of the curiosity of the area in the marina .
Here is one nice weird tree for the end that I came across on that walk. I don’t know if it’s a cactus, a fir or a tree.

img_0.5131277893546896.jpg

It is called (Lat. Araucaria aracuana) 3 meters high and so wide, all on green leaves and sharply prickly - Unseen .

Am amazing walk and post so much on interest
That’s a great idea using goats to keep the growth under control around the tank frames
Always love seeing anchors and those mirror like reflections are incredible

Thank you for showing your walk, full of so much beauty, I like that you recycle and restore as that post made with a mast, the sculpture of the aquatic animal very nice, a nice day for a walk.

The idea of the goat to keep the vegetation under control is excellent, I would never have thought of it, it is not harmful and very sustainable.
