A SHOPPING WALK TO A VILLAGE MARKET

in Wednesday Walk7 months ago

In this village market, I will show you what kind of Food stuff and other items you can buy.

Why this market is sold in the evening

I like to share the reason this market is sold in the evening in case you decided to visit this area.
The market has a specific day it is being sold, the market is sold once in a week but since other markets are not sold nearby, the people of this village then do make sells in this market very evening to help visitors and indigenes to buy and sell their commodities.

I wanted to buy some food stuff and keep against tomorrow morning since the market is not sold in the morning. So I was so curious to do so to avoid being starve tomorrow morning. And also to find some interesting photos interesting photo.

This photo of the market is an interesting one, showing different commodities sold.
The market is a long time market where students, visitors and indigenes buy and sell their commodities. Back then, it was a model with borehole at the heart of the market.

Recently, people have forgotten the borehole that was channeled to the market. The borehole center is now a dustbin.
As you can see in the pictures, a fortunate pawpaw is growing in this place. So I took few photos of the place.
Moving around the market, I didn’t feel that hectic at all. You can enjoy this place depending on how much is on you as there are much local items sold in this market if you are lover of local and natural food.

How to Get to the market

Traveling from Uyo the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, get down to Nsit Ibom park where the market is located besides the park.

Where to Stay

In case you want to buy vegetables such as affang, bitter leaf, water leaf, editan leaf and palm oil in large quantity, the location of your accommodation are close by, you only need to consult an agent then your accommodation is secured.
Getting Around the market.
There are many ways to get around the market, you can easily move from one point to the other.

Fresh food items

Here are some photos of food items sold in the evening market I took during the walk.

Borehole point

The borehole point in the market as earlier shared in photo is now used as dustbin.

The major road

There is a tarred road that lead to the market. This road makes it easy for other people from far places to come to the market.
It can be said that the market has been a great point of buying and selling for the people of this village and the visitors as well.

So I bought few items to prepare my favorite Okro soup (draw soup) tomorrow morning.
