This was such a colorful post, JJ! @tattoodjay I am still, to this day, fascinated by the colors of sunrise and sunset.
The first burst of color is extraordinary and vibrant and I love how it settles down to the cotton candy sky. Sweet! I think that fisherman has the right idea with the headcover. I always wonder what I look like wandering around with that on? Actually, when the bugs are that bad, does anyone really care?
It is nice that there are a few birds of a feather out there, keeping you company in the dark of the day. I could see by your timestamp, that you were up at 3 am, just as I had gotten to bed. Yikes. What is wrong with us?

As you know I go out often to catch the sunrise and I never tire of doing so each day is different and beautiful in its own way, so with spectacular colors, some moody and magical,
I did get the head cover and have used it a couple of times, and frankly if there are lots of bugs around I really dont care what anyone thinks, it does the job intended and keeps the bug off your face :)
I dont think anything is wrong with us, we all have our unique body clocks and have to do what works for us :)
funny thing is LUlu often sleeps in, so if we have nothing on that day we often have breakfast together, then I head for a nap for an hour lOL
