    I might be completely wrong here, but I did a little bit of quick research. Looks like it might be a plant called Bushveld Bluebush and the fruit is a type of persimmon. Apparently safe to eat too. Not sure if I'm going to risk trying some next time I visit.

    Yeah, I dunno either. Persimmons tend to have more of a light orange color in this part of the world but I dunno about there.
