On a Wednesday Walk while the Sun is Rising!

in Wednesday Walk2 years ago

Hi Hiveians! Today I took an early morning Wednesday walk with my papa, at 11:00 am while the sun was coming up to smile at us. Watching our fruit trees grow and flowers blossom on this beautiful day. 🤗

While we were walking, we found a cicadas' shell on one of our banana tree trunks. When cicadas come out of their shell they have a whitish green color of skin. In the summer, we find their empty shells all over the place especially on trees. It always fascinates me how those annoying bugs have such a big voice although they're so small. 😅

After checking out our first garden, we took a walk through the dog park that is on the other side of the parking lot. We don't have any dogs, but we love to sit on the benches that are there. It's a great and relaxing way to enjoy the scenery of nature. 😊

We grow many of our trees here too such as oranges, huayas, figs, cashews, maracuyas aka passifloras, nonis and more. The trees love growing at the dog park because the people bring their dogs to.. ya' know.. do their thing haha. The doggy manure provides good compost for the dirt, as long as the trees are happy with it, right? Let nature do its thing. 😂😁

Yesterday we were a little bored from staying home, so we decided to go to the beach to breathe the fresh air and take a walk. Sorry I didn't take any photos because we didn't bring any devices, to get away from the screen and come into the lovely nature. While we were there, we found two odd things that seemed like devil heads in the sand, we picked them up and found this:

The devils of the beach!
Just kidding, they aren't devil heads. 😅 When we came home, I showed it to my papa and they're thorns from a weed called "Swollen Thorn Acacias".
One time I got poked in my foot by them, but the trunk of these trees are super strong. The gardeners here don't like them because when it's a tree, it's very hard to cut it with a machete.

We usually take them out of our garden before it's too hard, but they make great firewood. Is it worth having one of these trees?

Thank you for joining us on our walk today! I hope you enjoyed it and enjoy the rest of your day! 🤗

What a beautiful garden
It’s amazing the sound cicadas make being so small

Thank you, yes it really is amazing. Especially the way they come out of their old shells. They must need more space in their chest to be so loud. 😅😲

😉😎🤙 very cool. Those are some wicked looking thorns!

For sure! Painful but very useful. 😉😂😁

How lovely
