Adventurous Wednesday walk - My mind sets the pass, l follow!

It's another Wednesday, a good day to yap about my Wednesday walk.

I don't get to do the walks every day because l spend most of my days behind closed doors, learning and interacting with people in the virtual world. Whenever l step out of home, it comes as a calculated movement. I just can't come out because every other person is outside. I may be wrong about that part of me but l won't beat myself up about it.

Well, my story has been a bit different ever since l found out of a Community that encourages us to take a walk and share the experience with the world. That's the mission of Wednesday Walk Community and I'm here to dish out my walking experience.

You'd know that we are still on holiday. Eh?

Well, the holiday isn't affecting me directly because l live in the Southeastern part of Nigeria. This is a place that is highly populated by Christians. We don't get to see people slaughtering Rams as they do in some other part of the country, but l assure you that the holiday aspect of this day -having a quality time with family and friends, is duly recognized here.

As far as my family is concerned, your chances of meeting almost everyone at home can only happen on weekends, but today was quite different. My Dad, Mum, siblings, including granny were able to eat breakfast together. Since everyone was free and were not in a hurry to run anywhere, we decided to prepare a unique meal for breakfast.

Just how unique can this meal be?
Lol... you are about to find out!

My fellow foodies know this as fried beans ball but that's just them throwing fancy words on the air. Only 5% of all Akara sellers will understand you when you ask for beans balls. To save yourself from unnecessary drama, just call it Akara. Yeah, you heard me well. That's a homemade Akara which l had for breakfast before starting my adventure.

As for the walk, it was a good one. The main reason for my walk was because l needed fiat at hand so, l decided to go to the ATM of a Commercial bank located in the ever-busy Building Materials Market Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Cashing out from my bank account has never been a reason for concern. I know that l don't waste it on useless things so, once l need the cash, l run to a POS terminal or ATM and cash instanter. Today was a day that l felt like taking a long ride. Besides, POS is never the safest point for withdrawal so, my compass led me to the bank.

What is the downside of going to banks to make withdrawals?

Hmmm... The only thing that comes to mind irrespective of the number of times l get this question is the usual delay that happens whenever people try to withdraw their money from banks.

Will l experience this same delay? Let's see

That's 8 ' gentlemen' waiting to take turns at the dispensing machine. Anyone coming to an ATM only to meet 8 people will always count it as his lucky day. The figure could have easily been 28 or 38 or 100-ish on a regular weekeday. Trust me, we've seen worse!

For the record, l didn't take any pictures on my way to the bank but on seeing that l won't be spending so much time in the queue, l decided to take shots and display my photography skills for your viewing pleasure.

You may be wondering why there are so many cars parked in front of a bank on a public holiday. Well, I'm also wondering. Do well to give me an answer in the comment section 😂.

By the time l finished withdrawing, l decided to walk into the market and see if Fiat is also bleeding. You know, inflation and co.

The cheapest item from everything you are seeing above has already experienced a 30% increase in price. Some are already giving us a 100% increase. The trader was very professional in his attempt to explain why things are becoming so expensive so, l decided to patronize him before leaving the shop.

I bought semolina for the soup lovers at home.

With that, l was already satisfied with my mini-adventure so, l decided to go home. I double-checked myself to be sure that my wallet, Debit Card, Semo, and any other valuables was intact. After confirming that all my valuables were in fact, l carefully crossed the ever-busy Enugu-Onitsha express road

Yeah, l crossed the road successfully. That's why I'm giggling while writing out my heart. Wednesday is done and dusted.

An adventurous travel day awaits me tomorrow ✌️

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I've never tried those fried beans, they look interesting and should give you energy to start the day.

Yeah... I didn't just eat the beans balls. It had to be taken alongside pap. Very sweet!

I'm liking the yummy look of these akara. What did you take it with? Can you take it with okpa and miyan kuka? 😳😂😂

Nice snapshots! I love public holidays but unlike your place, majority of citizens in my place were busy killing rams and partying!

I hope you have a semo-fun-filled day! 😏😏

Hahah... Semo-fun-filled day?
Okay, seems like a combo of semo and coffee will be a perfect one 😂. You already know that I won't dare to taste it. Get ready to enjoy.

Hope you had alot of ram to eat and store in your fridge for more enjoyment 😋

... a combo of semo and coffee will be a perfect one...

😳😏😏 Now I know you don't like me. With that kind of combo, I'll just get a small mattress and lock myself in the toilet! 😅

Nah. I don't have any ram meat stored in my fridge! 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

Such an interestign walk post, I am glad there was only 8 in the queue for the atm since you say it could be far worse

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)

Exactly... 8 isn't small but we consider it a fast transaction whenever we meet such number queued up.

The thing is, banks can have upto 4 ATM, but it's hard to see all 4 in operation at the same time. This adds to the delay.

Thanks for having me in the community.
