Just like 2021, this new year was amazing with quite a few memorable rides. I wished with all my heart to be able to continue walking as I had done before, knowing beautiful places in my country, and it was granted to me, with some twice. In March of this year, my friend and I made an impromptu trip to the Península Valdés area in the province of Chubut, Argentina, without imagining that in a few months we would be there again. And when the possibility of going again in October arose, how could we refuse to see these beautiful beaches again? ❤️

Deseé con todo mi corazón poder seguir paseando como lo había hecho antes, conociendo lugares hermosos de mi país, y se me concedió, con algunos por partida doble. En Marzo de este año mi amiga y yo hicimos un viaje improvisado a la zona de Península Valdés en la provincia de Chubut, Argentina, sin imaginar que algunos meses volveríamos a estar ahí de nuevo. Y cuando surgió la posibilidad de volver a ir en Octubre, ¿cómo negarnos a ver de nuevo estas playas hermosas? ❤️
The March trip was short but concise: we had several afternoon walks where we were able to visit some famous points in this area. One of them was the Puerto Pirámides beach, the first and only town within the Península Valdés area. On that occasion we had arrived by public transport, but now we went by car with all my friend's family ❤️.
El viaje de Marzo fue corto pero conciso: tuvimos varios paseos de una tarde en donde pudimos recorrer algunos puntos famosos de esta zona. Uno de ellos fue la playa de Puerto Pirámides, el primer y único pueblo dentro del área de Península Valdés. En esa oportunidad habíamos llegado en transporte público, pero ahora fuimos en auto con toda la familia de mi amiga ❤️.

Could we be lucky enough to get good weather both times we went? Of course. The day was sunny and clear both times, only this time we didn't go into the sea. It was the first hours of the day so the beach was not so crowded and you could admire it in its total tranquility...
¿Podíamos tener tanta suerte como para que nos toque buen clima en las dos veces que fuimos? Claro que sí. El día estaba soleado y despejado en las dos oportunidades, solo que esta vez no nos metimos al mar. Eran las primeras horas del día así que la playa no estaba tan concurrida y se podía admirarla en su total tranquilidad...
Well, calm as much as possible since this area has frequent maritime activity since the whale watching boats leave from this place. In Puerto Pirámides there are about 3 companies that offer this service to be able to go offshore to see these giants up close. It was October and the whale season was not yet over, so the three boats from the three companies would leave every two hours in search of a whale to see. This is the main tourist activity in this area, along with diving with sea lions 😃.
Bueno, tranquilidad en la medida de lo posible ya que esta zona tiene una frecuente actividad marítima ya que desde este lugar es que salen las embarcaciones para avistaje de ballenas. En Puerto Pirámides hay unas 3 empresas que ofrecen este servicio para poder ir mar adentro a ver estos gigantes más de cerca. Era octubre y aún la temporada de ballenas no terminaba, así que cada dos horas salían los tres barcos de las tres empresas en busca de alguna ballena para ver. Esta es la principal actividad turística por esta zona, junto al buceo con lobos marinos 😃.
The town of Puerto Pirámides has few inhabitants but plenty of activity for all the visitors who come here season after season. They are only a few blocks away but you can find restaurants, accommodation, plazas, ATMs, supermarkets and everything you need to have a good stay there. This beach town is a good option if you are looking for a place with less hustle and bustle than Puerto Madryn, the largest and most touristy city near here 😃.
El pueblo de Puerto Pirámides tiene pocos habitantes pero bastante actividad para todos los visitantes que llegan acá temporada tras temporada. Son solo unas cuadras pero se pueden encontrar restaurantes, alojamientos, plazas, cajeros automaticos, supermecados y todo lo necesario para pasar una buena estadía allí. Esta pueblo playero es una buena opción si se busca un lugar con menos ajetreo que Puerto Madryn, la ciudad más grande y más turística cerca de acá 😃.
As in Puerto Madryn and throughout this area, the animal that everyone comes to see is the great Southern Right Whale, who arrives here in the second half of the year to breed and give birth to their young. The first time my friend and I were here there weren't any whales because it wasn't the season, but on this second trip we had our revenge seeing a few of them from the beaches of El Doradillo ❤️.
Al igual que en Puerto Madryn y en toda esta área, el animal al que todos vienen a ver es a la gran Ballena Franca Austral, quien llega aquí en la segunda mitad del año para reproducirse y parir a sus crías. La primera vez que mi amiga y yo estuvimos por acá no había ninguna ballena porque no era la temporada, pero en este segundo paseo tuvimos nuestra revancha viendo unas cuantas de ellas desde las playas de El Doradillo ❤️.
That day we walked a bit along the beach and then we went to have lunch with the idea of getting some tickets to embark to see whales in the sea. Ese día paseamos un poco por la playa y luego fuimos a almorzar con la idea de conseguir unos tickets para embarcarnos a ver ballenas dentro del mar. Me gustó recorrer la playa y las calles de este pueblito otra vez: los lugares lindos merecen ser visitados nuevamente. Este fue mi Wednesday Walk, una iniciativa propuesta por @tattoodjay. Que lindo puerto Pirámides! un verdadero paraíso camino a la Península Valdés! Cuna del gran santuario Ballenero del Atlántico Sur, donde la Ballena Franca Austral nos suele regalar los más lindos y maravillosos espectáculos que podemos presenciar en contacto con la naturaleza.
Creo que no he encontrado tanta paz y tanta tranquilidad como en Puerto Pirámides.
Tu publicación me lleva a recorrer imágenes que permanecerán gravadas para siempre en mi memoria y en mi corazón. Sin dudas estas publicaciones me llevan a muy lindos recuerdos, muy buenas sensaciones.
Estos lugares nos hacen sentir lo pequeños que somos ante tanta inmensidad y lo necesario que todos hagamos un gran esfuerzo para preservar estos lugares.
A seguir disfrutando de la vida y de todo lo maravilloso que nos regala este hermoso planeta.
